The Yarra Valley has an abundance of hidden treasures and this full day tour is a showcase of some our favourites! This is a relaxed and informative day tour with a professional tour guide providing interesting information throughout the day about the history of the valley and regional wine varietals. Sample a variety of locally produced specialties at four venues throughout the valley as well as taking some time to explore the village of Healesville with its cafes, distilleries and wine bars. Tour includes generous wine tastings at 4 wineries plus finish the day with a glass of wine or a bottle of craft beer! Our small group tour (max 11 guests) provides pick up and drop off at Lilydale train station or any accommodation or address in the Yarra Valley. City pickups are not available. Most of our guests staying in Melbourne choose to catch the train to Lilydale station. It takes about 1 hour (quicker than driving in traffic) and from there it is only 5 minutes to Yarra Valley!

Inclusions: Wine tastings at 4 wineries, plus finish the day with a glass of wine or bottle of craft beer!

Exclusions: Lunch is not included in this tour but we will visit Healesville village with numerous cafe's, burger joints and restaurants offering a variety of lunch options to suit any budget

Thank you Craig! We absolutely loved our tour and I must confess we are multiple riders and first time reviewers! Sorry! Each time we have taken a tour with Craig (2 x in his bus) and 1 x in his new merc van (sooo comfy!) we have been given a delightful, informative tour of the area. Craig's knowledge and approachable manner means you have a great overview of the area and insights to what it is to live in the Yarra Valley. Our tours start with bubbles at Chandon over look acres of vines and the mountains. We then head off to a variety of boutique wineries and lunch. Every time we have gone on a tour, it has been a little different because depending on what day of the week will depend on what is open! But Craig knows it all so there is no worries for figuring out the itinerary. Loved it! Completely recommend his touring company.

4. Small Group - Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges Hike from Melbourne

Hamer Hall, Melbourne, 100 St Kilda Rd, Southbank VIC 3004, Australia Hike & Seek

We embark on an easy to moderate 6.6km hike in the Eastern Sherbrooke Forest through towering Mountain Ash trees and wetland ferns. Keep your eyes open for lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, and echidnas that call the forest home. Next, we head to the Californian Redwood forest and enjoy a short 1km stroll to marvel at these awe-inspiring giants; some trees stand up to 100m tall! This forest is one of the best-kept secrets of the Yarra Valley region. Next up, we pull into one of Yarra Valley’s favourite wineries, Innocent Bystander, for lunch. There's plenty of time for wine tasting too if you choose. After lunch, we skip over the road to visit craft beer brewery Matilda Bay, before jumping back in the van to visit the lads at Payten & Jones for more good wine and great tunes. We top the day off with a visit to Four Pillars, a small craft distillery (that's been named the world's leading gin producer two years in a row).

Inclusions: Organic fruit & healthy snacks, Freshly brewed Coffee Supreme & organic tea, Rain ponchos & first aid, Air-conditioned vehicle, Friendly and knowledgeable tour guides, Unforgettable memories

Exclusions: Hotel drop-off, Hotel pickup

It's one thing to go to an amazing place of natural beauty and Wilson's Prom NP certainly packs a punch and ticks that box with great hiking trails, beautiful vistas, green valleys, sandy and secluded beaches, and lots of wildlife. But to go there with a tour that manages to squeeze all that in one day without making you feel exhausted so you can truly appreciate your visit takes a real expert 9adn that's where Hike and Seek tick all the boxes!). Special thanks to the tour guide Michael, who could answer any queries and engaged with all participants to make us feel part of the team. It is a long day (and more so for the tour guides) as the drive to Wilson's Prom is almost 3 hours each way from Melbourne so make sure you have a book with you (you will have your own light and air condition vent in the minibus!) or download earlier some good podcasts to watch (you will travel through places with no or poor internet access so be prepared).
