Attended a wine tasting here this evening. Short tour of a small wine making plant then sat in their beautiful terrace for a wonderful dinner accompanied by 6 different wines all of which were delicious. We’ve left with 9 litres of wine! The whole experience was an absolute bargain at €18 per head. Best night of our trip so far. Definitely worth travelling to if you’re in Sicily

Planeta, Tenuta Buonivini - Noto

We did the Tour of Sicily wine tasting at 35 euros per person. We tasted 5 wines, sat outside in the vineyard. Food was also provided, small bites of bruscetta/crostini, tomatoes and olives. Everything was perfect. The host was very knowledgeable & friendly, and she explained the different wines and the vineyards (Planeta have several across Sicily). We then got to visit the cellar and explore the site/garden a bit more. We bought 2 bottles of wines from the shop - several varieties were available, starting from about 10 euros a bottle. Definite must do in Sicily if you are a wine lover!

Mediterranean climate with a very fortunate geographical location and calcareous soils are factors that enhance the quality of the grapes, along with a philosophy oriented reinterpretation of the traditional production methods: historic vineyards, concrete tanks, wilting in the sun.
