We booked a return tour from San Pedro Atacama to Uyuni salt flat. Overall the tour was amazing. We were lucky to have Wilson as our guide. He was driving carefully, giving a lot of info about the sights (in Spanish only), and he is also good at taking photos, which was useful at the salt flats. Communication prior to the tour was good too, Gabriel was always available to answer our questions. The slight downside was dealing with addional requests. Another couple from our group didn't get the private bathroom they paid for. The change of the driver in Uyuni, after the main part if the tour was finished, was a bit of unpleasant surprise. If you join this tour pack soap, sanitiser and toilet paper, as hygenic facilities are basic.

We had no idea what to expect when Roberto took us on a sunset tour of the salt flats but it was beyond anything I have ever experienced. The vastness, the quiet, the sunset, it was like being on a different planet. Absolutely speechless. Roberto was a great guide and kept the fun up after dark with lights and cameras. Must be the highlight of my South America trip.

After a 10 day Traveling adventure with a group through another traveling group, my friend and I opted for a private tour of Rainbow Mountain! Unfortunately it snowed on the day we reserved our tour; however it was one of our most enjoyable days due to the kindness of our guide Richard. He was very informative regarding the history and culture of the area and people. We were able to see some beautiful sites on the way to and home. We met some local folks, stopped by a lovely place to eat Los Cabanas and have coffee. The food was awesome!! Richard took some beautiful photos and was patient with us when we wanted to stop to view some sights/alpacas!! The time with Cusco Holiday Peru Servicios Turisticos was one of our most favorite and memorable!! Thanks for such a wonderful time and adventure!!

Did a half day tour with Ricky. Great communication prior to trip. Punctual arrived. Good driver- which means a lot in La Paz. Visited Moon Valley, cable car for great views. Historical center and witches market. Ricky was very kind in giving us advice on Bolivian culture, even obliging us on a spontaneous snack (second breakfast) stop. Would highly recommend this tour especially as it was our first day in La Paz and we needed to go at our own pace as we acclimated to the altitude.

10. 6-Days Discovering 2 of the World's Largest Salt Flats, Atacama & Uyuni

Signature Tours

If you want to experience the incredible richness of natural beauty and diverse landscapes northern Chile & Bolivia, this tour is the perfect option to do: Atacama is the center-stage of many surprises, the 3,000 square kilometer salt lake is an unbeatable sight. The Atacama Salt Flat is one of the main attractions of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Be amazed by the large number of long-legged birds that nest and feed in its “watery eyes”, like those of the Chaxa Lagoon. Keep your eyes wide open to try to spot the differences between the Andean, Chilean and James flamingos. Continue to Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat. The best time to go really depends on your preference of what you want to see, as each season offers different visuals. Most people say it is best to go from May to November when the weather is mild, but keep in mind that the Bolivian salt flat plains will be dry. One thing's for certain – the scenery here is breathtaking all year round.
