Our guid was Jose and he was amazing. Took us through the different canals making sure to motivate our 10 year old and point out the amazing animals. Great price, friendly and fun. Equipment in good state and punctual.

We loved this canoë tour in the national park of Tortuguero. Cloid, our guide was just amazing. He knows everything about everything. He showed us many birds, caïmans, even baby caïmans ! And a lot of survival technics. He also knows a lot of very interesting and surprising facts about the species. We can really feel that he is passionate by his job and the wild life in general ! It has been my best experience in Tortuguero. The animals and the atmosphere is super nice and I learned a lot of things that could be useful later and/or just really interesting to know. Had a great kayak tour with Abel, he has such a great knowledge of the area. We have been in Costa Rica for a month and had not seen a sloth yet, so he made it his mission to find us one, and he did!! Highly recommended!

We did all our tours with Tuanis and we were so pleased with the experience. Kevin is both very entertaining and very knowledgeable: he took us on the canal tour and the national park walk, spotting animals we would never have seen on our own. He was also really helpful in giving us all sorts of advice about where to eat and how to book transfers and the great chocolate making class in the town. Bernardo took us on a night tour in search of what we most wanted to see: a red eyed tree frog. Other tour groups mostly stuck to the main path and didn't see half of what we saw off the beaten path. In the end, we saw three such frogs as well as a host of other animals. Thank you Kevin and Bernardo for being such amazing guides.

We have done two tours with Tuanis. The Night Walk and a Canoe Tour. I don’t know where to start with the review, both were soo great. Those tours were super amazing from the first second, until we were back. Both tours were guided by Bernd (German native who lives there since more than 30 years; German speaking tours also bookable), an amazing person who has huge knowledge and experience in his profession. We are generally not big fans of guided tours and like to explore everything by ourselves. Now, we are soooo glad, that we chose to go for those two tours, which are Must Do’s in Tortuguero with Tuanis Tour. Night Tour: While all other guides go for a long walk on the main road, Bernd’s tour goes off road right from the beginning and he spots animals better than a Jaguar at night (or all the other local guides). We have seen much more on that tour, than we would have thought. Green eyed frogs, sloths, green tree snakes, Basilisks and many more. Wooooow, such an amazing experience. Canoe Tour: This is so much fun. An activity where you can engage yourself a lot and your guide does the spotting of animals which you mostly would never even notice. Bernd made sure we saw loads of animals even if it meant to stretch the tour time a bit. Sooo impressive :) To all who are thinking of going to Tortuguero, you have to contact Tuanis Tour beforehand. They can give you sooo many useful information for Tortuguero and what to do there. I cannot emphasise enough, how much I am recommending Tuanis Tour.
