The guide really makes the experience on tours such as these. Regretfully our guide, Brian, was inclined to talk more about his life and his experiences than move on with the tour. We were kept standing in one spot for the first 30 minutes of the tour while he spoke about his Cyclone Tracy and work experience, which was initially interesting however, we were keen to get on with the tour. He has obviously led an interesting life in Darwin but a walking tour is what we had signed up for. Another half an hour got us to visit two sites in the mall and then with some coaching we moved on with the walk, but with insufficient time to really see the subsequent sites. Overall, we were disappointed with the tour. Brian had some aids to show but at times they were hard to see and often they faced him, rather than the group. From previous review of the walk, it sounds like John is the tour guide to request.

The Top Didj Cultural Experience has been developed to offer visitors to the Katherine Region, a unique cultural interaction with the aboriginal people. This is achieved by introducing Manuel Pamkal from the Dalabon tribe. Manuel will teach visitors the traditional way of living in the bush as he experienced as a child. He will tell stories and showcase traditional activities such as fire lighting, spear throwing with a woomera and painting whilst educating visitors about aboriginal culture and way of life.

It was quite hot on the day in Nov 2020 but it was worth it. The wallabies young ones hanging around on the grounds were very friendly and sweet. Alex and the Aboriginal guide, Manuel, are a worthy duo. Highly recommended.

A perfect afternoon having a guided tour of the tropical gardens with inside information and Darwin folklore. Our guides were Rachel and John, both providing excellent commentary on various trees and history of the area. I would highly recommend this tour, even for people who aren’t avid gardeners. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and take plenty of water.

Our Sunday tour is quite different from our other tours. We start at Roma Bar, one of Darwin’s finest coffee spots, for a jolt of Java to get us going. There’s a menu here especially for us, and it’s hyper-local and wonderfully exotic, with lots of little tropical treats. Next is a short stroll along Austin Lane, which is smothered in Darwin’s fabulous street art. And there are several pieces of augmented reality that jump off the walls to make the art come to life. Next up is a selection of two of Darwin’s finest restaurants and more tasting plates for a lunch feast like no other. Staff will chat about the food and an emphasis on local produce. And there’s lots to eat—we’ll fill you up, and vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available too. The top spots on this tour may include Bannsang, Hanuman, Snapper Rocks, Chow, and Pepperberry Restaurant at the Hilton. Depending on our route, we’ll also show you some of Darwin’s historic and cultural landmarks.

Inclusions: This guided three-hour food tour gives you the best of Darwin’s fine dining scene. Features fresh local ingredients including Aboriginal bush spices and foods. Plus historic and cultural landmarks., Coffee, tea, standard soft drinks

Delve 15 metres below the surface to discover amazing limestone caves in the heart of Australia’s Top End. Formed millions of years ago, the Cutta Cutta Caves system is home to a variety of native wildlife and is rich in Indigenous culture and modern European history. You will need to travel 27km south of the Katherine Township, heading south on the Stuart Hwy. Tropical cave systems like those in Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park are limited in Australia and are therefore of scientific and conservation interest and are the primary season the area has been declared an official Nature Park.

What an amazing experience we had on this tour with Simon & Rob! From the moment they picked us up in Alice, they were so friendly, accomodating, knowledgeable & fun! My partner & I were travelling with family and Simon & Rob went above and beyond to be inclusive to all the needs of the group (vegetarian, walking arrangements etc). We also had the most wonderful group & really jelled together to make a tour family which made the trip even more incredible. We are only sad that the tour ended so soon, wish we could have stayed longer! Simon & Rob had abundant knowledge on all aspects of the N.T, the food was delicious and plenty, the many experiences such as the campfires & walking tours were incredible and really added to the overall experience. We truly enjoyed our experience & we hope to book a Kakadu tour soon with Simon & Rob ! Thanks again guys :)
