We had a lovely afternoon with Nicola visiting the Medoc region. We saw two wineries and had fun tasting and touring. Our kids also enjoyed the experience. The service was impeccable- our driver stopped off for us to buy lunch and other shopping. Highly recommend this experience.

We were on a Oceania ship tour that drove around Bordeaux before coming to this vineyard. The chateau on the grounds was most impressive. The fellow from the vineyard did a nice job of explaining the operation of the vineyard, but since we didn't have much time on the tour, it had to be cut short. When it was time for tasting, we sat around the outside of the wine room while he told us about the white wine we were going to try. They poured it into glasses and passed it around. There wasn’t any cheese or crackers to nibble on, like most wine tastings I have been on. Then he told us about the second wine, a red one. I think that everyone was surprised when he just went around and poured the red into the same glass that had the remnants of the white. They normally use different glasses. It really didn’t matter to me, since I’m not a picky wine drinker. What was concerning was that we only had the two wines to sample. For a rather expensive ship tour, there should have been more wine tasting. I do think it would have been a better experience had we not been on a ship tour, since everything had to be rushed.

After the fire of 1962 ravaged most of the castle's interieur, Thierry and Solange Lurton - owners of the estate, decided to give it a new life in 2017. If you think that visits and tastings have become too boring or "clichéd" then this experience will take you by surprise. The visit starts with a technical explanation of our production in the vat-house and the cellar. It continues through the vineyards towards the castle. You will then find yourself inside the newly renovated 14th century castle which still preserves numerous signs of the historic moments over the course of more than 700 years. The visit finishes atop the keep-terrace with a tasting of our wines and leaves you spell-bound with the landscape that surrounds the castle of Camarsac. If you find yourself here around sunset, this moment will be eternally etched in your memory!

Inclusions: Free wines tasting of all the wines of the estate.

What an excellent experience! I went to the Chateau de Camarsac and did a self-guided tour with tasting afterward. I was kindly greeted by Gwen who gave me a map of the property and explained how the tour worked. Just when I thought I would be alone for the tour, I was greeted by three beautiful Border Collies, one of which accompanied me for the entire tour. The property is beautiful, tranquil, very picturesque. The markers give a detailed description of the winemaking process and of the castle and its history. The fact that it was self-guided allowed me to go at my own pace and take pictures along the way. After I completed the tour, Kunal and Gwen joined me in the tasting room. Both of them were so warm and welcoming, very knowledgable and personable, but not pretentious. I tasted a rosé, two whites, and three reds, all of which were delicious. I've already made plans to go back again before I leave the region! Definitely recommend!

Our Bordeaux food tour is a walking tour around the historical center of Bordeaux. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Do Eat Better tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing French culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible.

It was all around incredible. It is easy enough to get to with public transport. The chateau and gardens are absolutely beautiful. The tour is done privately, so it was just us and the guide, she told us plenty really interesting family about the house, the family the grounds and the decorations. The making of the wines was also explained. And the wine tasting was great, the wine they make is really good. We absolutley loved every minute of the visit and can't think of a single thing to complain about.

I strongly recommend wine course in Les Ateliers de Bacchus. I had a full day workshop with lovely Pauline. She has incredible knowledge and experience, she’s very nice, friendly and she’s a great and very experienced teacher. I had a lovely time there and learned a lot!! As an example of what I learned I could mention: wine tasting techniques, methods of wine production, wine label reading, French wines and vineyards, wine and food pairing. Thank you, Pauline so much!
