The Greek island of Santorini is a blissful spot for a getaway, and its capital, Fira, is a vision of dramatic cliffs and pristine whitewashed buildings. One day, two Santorinis... For most visitors to the island, there is one Santorini. That of rugged, volcanic landscape and whitewashed cubiform buildings that spill down cliffs overlooking red, black and white lava pebble beaches. For photographers, though, there are two Santorinis: the island in the morning and the island in the afternoon.  Explore Santorini’s greatest hits and hidden bits The workshop is split into two parts – morning and afternoon – in keeping with the two Santorinis: Morning session We’ll start the day in the north of Santorini amongst picturesque traditional settlements, where you can capture an authentic side of the island, as experienced by the locals. Afternoon session After lunch and a break from the scorching midday sun (feel free to take a siesta), we’ll start up the afternoon session, heading south to explore off the beaten track.

Inclusions: Full instruction from a professional photographer and guidance throughout the workshop, Use of Tripod

Exclusions: Camera, Lenses

Amani was a wonderful guide - she strikes the right balance and was very good a meeting our wishes - she brought us to small passages in Oia and also in remote villages which are less touristic. She knows Santorini inside out and is full of positive energy . We were with our 6 year old daughter and she was perfect to connect with her , even prepared a small book about the history of the caldera and the volcano for our daughter . She speakers French as well so don't hesitate to book her for a private tour . As we were interested to have family photos in the beautiful scenery of Santorini we booked a photographer that came with us on the tour to take shots. Ask for MELINA KATRI . She is the photographer that came with us and did great shots .

GOOOOOOOD MORNING, SANTORINI Much like the early bird catches the worm, the early photographer catches the sunrise! In the early morning, away from the calm of Santorini’s moonlit whitewashed buildings and winding pathways, beyond the jagged lines of volcanic islands in the distance, the sun makes its magical entrance. As dawn breaks and the sun casts its pink and purple hues over the island, when most other people would rather be sleeping, you’ll be there in a prime spot to capture the views, rock formations and stunning architecture on camera. Taking one shot after another to tell your story of the best sunrise in the world. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or someone who only dusts off their camera for special occasions (this is a special occasion), if you have a basic knowledge of your camera and enjoy learning, this workshop is perfect for you. And there is coffee as well!

Inclusions: Professional photographer guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Coffee and/or Tea

We will confess that we did not take the tour, we were on a cruise and did not attempt to schedule any outside activities. That said, we were in a restaurant on two separate days when Aristotle brought in a group and ordered wine and tomato fritters for them. He was charming and knowledgeable so we asked for his card, if/when we return, we will look him up and book a tour. His web site offers very detailed information for those wanting to gauge whether this tour is for them.

we booked this for the black sand beach stop, Akrotiri, winery and monastery. the view stops at the beginning were actually right next to our hotel so we had the privelige to those views on our stay. the big coach bus is PACKED when you are all on and the island is windy, highly recommend bringing medicine if you get nauseous easily. the guides were sweet and kind and helped navigate large groups well. i am grateful for them taking us around their island. we passed on the last Oia stop as our hotel sunset view was just as good if not BETTER for the lack of people. this coach bus tour is a great way to view the island in a short period and to see the big sites! if you have time to spend on the different beaches beyond the tour i recommend! overall this tour was good and worth the money, they do offer hotel pick up and dropoff which is nice!
