We were on a riverboat excursion and were taken to Strassbourg, so this canal ride was included. We enjoyed going around this absolutely lovely little town. It is so charming! You can see really well as the boat has glass roof. Thankfully, it was a beautiful day so you could see all the darling hpuses with their flowerboxes under all the windows..so pretty. I highly recommend not only the boat tour but coming to this town. It was one of my favorites on the whole trip.

We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

I understand the importance of selecting and having local guide that is from the region and has a passion for wine to inform you about the local variations. Antoine is super ‘sympa’, explained it all very well, he really knows his wines, history and surroundings! As we arrived in harvesting season we were able to see the wine making process first hand in both wine houses we visited which made it all a lot more tangible. Bourgundy can be rather complex when it comes to its wines but we can now navigate already a lot better through everything the region has to offer. Wondurful tour & dégustations, we would 100% recommend to schedule your plans around this tour!

We booked a evening tour with Antoine. We went to a very nice vineyard in Fleurie. After a walk through the vineyard with a lot of interesting information we ended up at the Madonna (church), on top of the hill. Here we’ve got some more information about the region and it’s wines. When we got back, our host from the vineyard had some regional wines tot taste. Lovely tour, great guide (we were very glad he spoke English) and good wine!

I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour operator. I booked a tour with them and got the information that the tour was fully refundable. Given the Corona crisis, I had to cancel my tour. After the initial information that refunds need a bit longer (which I fully understand), nothing happened. I still haven´t received the refund after months and I have not received any information when/if this will happen at all, either. Any attempt to contact the company is being ignored. Neither do they answer to messages nor phone calls. Very disappointing...

I had a wonderful time on the one day bike tour. Many thanks to Theo for sharing his knowledge of the region and its wines. Lunch in Montrachet was delicious. We stopped for wine tastings en route at 2 contrasting domaines - it was good to experience the difference. The view of the vineyards from a bike was truly memorable!
