In February 2020 I visited Sabah, my starting point (base) was Kota Kinabalu (KK) and my intention was to make a round trip around Sabah region using motorbike. Basically, all bike rental shops are located near the Suria Sabah shopping mall. Although my intention was to visit Gogo Sabah (best online reviews), as I approached I was almost immediately "kidnapped" by its competition that was offering their bikes. These people did not speak proper english, the bikes that were offered were inferior compared to GoGo Sabah's and when discussing my travelling plan - they were really discouraging me to take the route through the jungle (south route between Tawau and Keningau) - they described it as dangerous route not suitable for motorbikes (they did not want me to ride their motorbike on this route). They were quite pushy to make reservation and pay deposit... Luckily enough, I also visited GoGo Sabah shop and the approach was completely different - it was 100% professional. I spoke with Daniel who honestly explained me what kind of bikes they offered and we very quickly found a bike that was suitable fo my purposes. In addition, Daniel provided very recent info on the route through the jungle (south route between Tawau and Keningau) and according to him this route was OK to travel (I was explained that there was a lack of petrol stations and I got a map where locations of petrol stations were clearly indicated) and he also provided very valuable travel information - all 100% accurate. During my trip, I wanted to extend the rental by few days - I experienced very prompt, positive response. GoGo Sabah is really trustworthy and good with handling customers and if I ever be in need of renting motorbike in Sabah I will use their services again.

This theme park is very expensive and foreigners pay whole lot more than Malaysian which i think is discrimina ting. The waterattractions are ok, not that scary or sensantional, there are far better ones actuallly. For that price its too expensive and I wouldn’t return. The other parks are ok. Food is expensive and overall only fast food. People swim in regular clothes which is not allowed. I find that to be disrespectful according to the rules.

10. Full Day Sabah Tea Plantation & WWII Memorial

Magunatip Holidays

Our friends from Peninsular Malaysia are always surprised to find that Sabahans are fond of Tea break and high tea too. Besides asking our friends to go Yamcha (drink tea). Sabahans would say ‘Let’s go High-Tea’. Tea drinking is definitely part of our culture and it fits well into our laid back lifestyle. Located 2,272 feet above sea levels, the harvests are 100% pesticide free as insect are drawn towards the 130 million year old rainforest surrounding the plantation. Afterwards head towards to the World World II Memorial Site also known as Kundasang War Memorial by the locals. The scent of Roses lingers in the air and the serene atmosphere makes the Kundasang War Memorial an ideal place to contemplate and remember the heroes of the war.

Inclusions: Private Tour, Set Lunch, 1 Water Bottle per person, Air-Conditioned Vehicle, Experience Local Guide, Lunch

This was part of an organised trip. If you can only park near the gate it is a 1.5km walk. The rangers call the orangatan after 9 so you can see them feeding at 10. We where very lucky to see one, however it is pot luck. Also if they spot one you need to move to the place quickly. It is not for the infirm or probables with walking. I would also recommend mosquito replant and long trousers with trainers. They are leeches and ticks in certain areas. It is worth the trip.
