Reaching the island is difficult - no direct flights from the mainland - but once you arrive, the tropical surroundings are the ideal backdrop for snorkeling and scuba diving, swimming in Hulopoe Bay (a marine preserve), whale watching, horseback riding, golfing, hiking, four-wheeling and exploring the red spires of the Garden of the Gods. The 1920s-era town is small but quaint, and the locals go out of their way to be friendly.

This is the only way to do these - fast boat, fun captain - gets you there so you have more time. Sean very knowledgable. Spinner dolphins super cool! Insanne COVID mask rules but not their faults - if you can handle being on a small craft, do it!

My husband and I enjoyed the trip. We had been out with other companies in the past, but they were all booked up so we gave this a try. Check in was easy. Probably don’t need to arrive 45 minutes early. Lots of waiting around. Recommend the free parking lot about a block away. There were assigned seats due to covid which was fine. We were seated on some cushioned yeti coolers. It’s a small crew but they work their butts off and took good care of everyone. Musician on board was a nice touch. Drinks were good. Pupus weren’t great but I wasn’t expecting much. The highlight is just being on the water and enjoying the views.

This is a casual dinner experience no need to dress up unless you want to. The servers are very friendly and accommodating and the live music is terrific. There were five in our party so we had to sit at two different tables. The food was very good. We chose prime rib and mahi-mahi for entrees and they were delicious. You won’t leave hungry. There is beer and punch-type drinks like maitai, no wine, no frozen drinks, no top shelf liquor. It’s a bit windy so tie back long hair but you won’t get sea sick it’s a gentle cruise along the beautiful coastline. Unfortunately it was overcast the night we went so we didn’t see a beautiful sunset but we did get lovely pictures and had a wonderful time.
