This half day tour was absolutely perfect. The guide was extremely nice and told us a lot of anecdotes, we learnt a lot about cambodian way of life and all the great stuff we visited (sticky rice factory, dolphin tour, rice wine distillery, mountain pagoda). I did this tour for my birthday and I feel so blessed to have seen so many great things for this special day. I completely recommend the tour.

Not too expensive, and we had a great view of Phnom Penh as the sun was setting made it worth while. We forgot that it can get a bit cold at night time this time of year, so the staff even lent us light coats for free to keep us warn. The catering provided though, could have been better I think, other wise it would have got five stars from me.

This 3day/2night cruise on 26-28 November 2019 on the Tonle Sap was simply the high point of our 2 week stay in Cambodia. We enjoyed it from the minute we left Phnom Penh until we arrived in Siem Reap. Everything was perfect for us, including the small but cosy cabin (we chose the rear cabin), the meals (thank you Kim) and all the activities along the way. We will always remember the special charm of the traditional farm by which we spent our first night and the kindness of the people there. We almost cried when we had to leave in the morning. But all the visits, whether on land or on water, were well organized and very interesting. This is a chance to have a taste of real Cambodia, away from touristic areas. We would like to pledge very warm thanks to our crew leader Ms Nassy. She was a perfect guide during all the visits and very attentionate to make sure everything went well for us on the boat. But above all she is a tremendously attaching and courageous human being. We got to know each other better and better throughout those 3 days and just felt it was a privilege for us to meet and spend time with such a wonderful woman during our stay in Cambodia. We learnt and understood more things about this wonderful country and its hectic contemporary history than we could have done through hundreds of pages of touristic guides and history books! Highly recommended and certainly the best way to reach Siem Reap from Phnom Penh.

This was an amazing experience. We were collected from our hotel, we joined 5 other people so just a small group of us, we stopped at a lotus farm which was great. Then we took a tender to Sonle Tap lake, stopping at a floating market with a crocodile farm. Going on the small boat through the floating village was a real experience, nice to be out of the hotel & seeing the rural part of Siem Reap. We joined the "Queen Tara" moored in the middle of the lake where we had an all you can eat Khmer buffet & unlimited cocktails/beer to drink. Sat up on deck watching the most spectacular sunset, our photo's are awesomely beautiful. This was one of my favourite trips.

Water travel from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap has always been difficult due to the ever changing water levels on the Tonle Sap Lake, even in the wet season when the water levels are high enough you have other issues, such as storms on the lake that can make the crossing treacherous. Also the sheer boredom of crossing the lake as there is nothing to see apart from vast swathes of water. These issues have been overcome by using the luxury, specially-designed double hulled cruiser, the Mekong Tara Prince (once owned by the Prince of Cambodia) to cruise up the beautiful Tonle Sap River to Prek Kdam or the Mekong river to Roka Kaong (depending on weather conditions). Once there you will be transferred to a private, air-conditioned minivan to travel around the Lake to Siem Reap. This way you get to see the awesome river and rural life on the river together with rural life on land.

Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off, All fees and taxes, Unlimited bottled water and soft drinks, 2 alcoholic drinks, Lunch, Fresh seasonal fruits, Local professional guide, Transport by air-conditioned minivan

Exclusions: Additional alcoholic drinks, available to purchase, Gratuities

Well worth the four hours. It is a shame it wasn't later in the year when the country side would be fresh and green with rice. Having said that the driver and guide were very good company making for an enjoyable journey through the village and surrounds. Colouring books and pencils for the local kids is an excellent way to meet them.
