The 10 Best Tours in Cape Cod, Cape Cod

November 27, 2021 Franklyn Hardiman

The Atlantic crashes on a coastline strewn with quaint harbors, windswept beaches, glorious dunes and blinking lighthouses. Explore Cape Cod National Seashore, bike past cranberry bogs on the Rail Trail or saunter around Sandwich, the Cape's oldest town. Many areas are architectural and culinary gems - full of weathered shingles, whaling captains' mansions, chowder shacks and upscale dining delights. Don't miss Woods Hole Oceanquest, famed Martha's Vineyard or charmingly upbeat Provincetown.

This tour is a great option for anyone visiting Provincetown. Rik was extremely knowledgeable both about the history of the city, as well as some of the fun facts and historic stories that are harder to come by. He took the time to find out my friend and my interests, and from there he focused on finding that little hidden gem or out of the way place that would be the perfect attraction or view for us. After telling him I was an artist, he took us to the community art space that was having an opening that day. We were honored to be in attendance and to see the incredible work that was being exhibited. We felt safe at all times, and Rik was great about leading us around any traffic that was happening. He also recommended us to the BEST location for sunset cocktails after our tour. Thanks Rik! Highly recommend!!

Get an introduction to Provincetown from one of colonial America's most infamous. Decidedly NOT a Pilgrim, Anne Hutchinson knows her history well enough to have been banished from Massachusetts 400 years ago and will walk you through the center of town enlivening central sites poignant to Ptown's story. Don't expect a long trek (1 mi), but do expect the "licentiousness and sinful liberty" that got Anne banished long ago. This makes the tour for adults only. Receiving the seal of the Spirit that some have called comedy from Anne takes roughly an hour. Tour runs multiple times daily. Remember, Anne's detractors felt she had "rather been a husband than a wife” and hoped to be "extolled and admired and followed after." You can now do just that by finding her 1600s epithet on social (@americanjesabel) for a sampling of this experience.

Inclusions: The Seal Of Christ

Exclusions: Tour runs multiple times daily and is $20

It was a refreshing way to go down the Freedom Trail! It is a creative way to learn about the new colony and it’s religious struggles from it’s beginning in the 1630’s. I prepared a little beforehand...so we had nice discussions and Anne was great at answering my questions! I love history tours of all kinds and this one is a stand out!

We were in Boston for my husband's 50th birthday. We booked a tour with New England Excursions. So glad we did! Matt, the owner and driver communicated with us the day before and verified the time he would arrive at our hotel to pick us up. Matt was punctual, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything Boston and the surrounding areas. My hubby and I were extremely grateful with his help in securing two seats for a 2hour tour on Martha's Vineyard. I would definitely recommend this tour and will use this company when we visit Boston again. ???? Got our eyes on Kennebunkport Maine! ????

It was exciting, the journey out to see the whales was cold in addition to the speed of the boat. Looking for whales in the ocean was equivalent to watching a lion on a safari in hopes of it doing something amazing. I recommend, if you never seen whales, seals, dolphins or just want to take a boat ride and go further than the cruiser tours.

Markie is EXCELLENT at handling whatever you want to do. They were on time picking us up from our resort and we drank Red Stripe Beer while being driven to our excursions. Very clean vehicle and a top notch driver (because driving in Jamaica needs to be left up to the locals. Do NOT attempt). The skyride was amazing, and the bobsled was SUPER fun. You can go as fast as you like. Lunch was arranged, as well as the opportunity to zip line and swim if you choose. Mystic Mountain was a blast. Thank you Royal Tours, you guys are the best!
