The castle itself was torn down during the restoration period, but the original walls and battlements remain making for beautiful views of the city and inland sea. Just down from the castle is Yonago Park where local people bring their children to play.

Minatoyama Park is a little enclave in Yonago. It borders Nakaumi Lake which boasts beautiful sunsets. Some swans also frequent the area and form an interesting diversion. In the spring, the cherry blossoms are lovely.

皆生温泉に行ったのに合わせて車で近かったので初めて寄ってみました。個人的には遊具広場が工夫されていると思いましたがアリとカブトムシのモニュメント前の芝生の広場が良いなあと感じました。

This is a nice little square across from the police station and near the train station that has a theme of Reach for the Stars with a train to the sky and flying children reminiscent of Peter Pan. There are also star charts on the base and along the city's walkways with zodiac images.

If you do not speak a word of Japanese, the Tourist Information Center is a must to visit. They speak English and Chinese and you can get all information you need. Thank you for their help.

中海の干拓地に突如あらわれる丘陵にある神社。地元の方々が多くの参拝にきているようでした。御祭神はスクナヒコナのミコト。病気平癒などにもご利益があるのだそうですが、ひっそりとした厳かな佇まいがとてもステキな神社でした。
