Every autumn since 1991, the old town of Xanthi — a small, traditional place in northeast Greece — hosts Xanthi’s Old Town Festival. It’s an opportunity for local and nationally famous artists to show off their paintings and photography exhibits, theatrical performances, and book fairs as well as dancing in the streets.
