Mout Sikunir located in Wonosobo, Central Java. It's a perfect place to see beautiful sunrise for those who never climb the mountain. it's just take 15 minutes or maybe 30 minutes (for me) from parking lot to trekking to the top of Mount Sikunir. There's no entrance fee. Next to Mount Sikunir, You can see the Mount Prau.

The view was Excellent, just a little disturbance with lack of awareness from visitor. Garbage, vandalism, damage plants, etc. Please, keep clean, keep this tourist attraction admired not only for beautiful surroundings, but from the entire aspect. Thank you

The highest village on the island of Java, has a lot of appeal, including carica plantation that exists only in Wonosobo, potato plantation which is one of the largest estates in Dieng. In addition to tourists, you can set up tents and camping around the "kecebong" lake before climbing to the top Sikunir to see the sunrise.

I went at 3am to chase for golden sunrise at the top of mount prahu. We begun our journey at patak banteng.
At the beginning of our journey, the road is really friendly for hiker. As you go further, the road becoming slippery and there are lots of tree roots which can make you stumble at any time.
The hardest part is when you almost reach the top of prahu mountain. The trails contains lots of big rock and it is really slippery.
When you reach the top of mount prahu, everything is paid by the beautiful scenery. Golden sunrise, top of mount sindoro and sumbing which covered by a thin mists, and the hilll that looks like teletubbies house.
For amateur climbers, it takes 2 until 4 hours to get to the top. Do not forget to bring a flashlight since you will start to climb at night or early morning. I also recommend to use a shoe because the train is really slippery.
Do not forget to bring your camera. You don't want to miss the beauty of golden sunrise in mount prahu.

Besides volcano climbing trip, which is normally started from base-camp very early morning or even at midnight to see the sunrise, Java island has heap of sunrise view points. One famous tourist destination, normally has not only one sunrise view point. I may mention here, Dieng Plateau on Central Java. This is good for you since then you will have a lot of choices. If you are an adventurous or not, or don't want to wake up so early, Sunrise on Java still can be seen. Some sunrise view points on Dieng plateau show that seeing sunrise is for everybody. And normally one of them (the view point) is less touristic.
To give another example is sunrise view points in Borobudur area, There are also some Sunrise view point/spots there. One of them is also less with people.
Si Kunir hill near Sembungan village (around 15 minutes driving from the Dieng plateau) is a place to see sunrise if you stay the night here on the plateau. On a good weather, You will see sunrise with background of Java's renowned volcanoes. And is within easy walking from Sembungan (more or less 1 hour walk).
If you stay the night in Wonosobo (26 KM) from Dieng you may go to Gardu Pandang Si Tieng (view point) which is located on the right side some kilometers before you arrive in Dieng from Wonosobo.

Tambi Tea Plantation has been around since the Dutch colonial time, situated just north of Wonosobo in Central Java. The plantation in the southwest slope of Mount Sindoro has a rather cool climate for Indonesia.
We stayed at one of the 23 Plantation's guest houses the night before, and took the short morning tour next day. We were first treated with a delicious breakfast and traditional snacks in the guest house office, a short walk to a gate, and when our guide opened the gate door, a beautifully landscaped green carpet of tea bushes everywhere we saw. What a delightful surprise and feast to the eyes!
The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The short duration tour was very interesting, even small kids would enjoy the experience. If you happen to be in Central Java, and a trip to Wonosobo is not too far from where you stay, Tambi is definitely worth the trip. Though basic, try to stay in the guest house too for an overall experience (hot water available).

Natural attractions that satisfy the eye. You will see a large lake surrounded by high hills.
If you are photography enthusiasts like me, then you will get the incredible natural beauty to be captured by your camera.
It is said that the lake is at some place, has a depth of up to 45 meters, so there is still a lot of unknown water creatures therein. If you visit, you will not be disappointed by the scenery.
Other activities are renting a boat to get around the lake if you want to spend time here.

Memasuki kawasan ini sejauh mata memandang terlihat keindahan kebun teh berwarna hijau. Tempatnya berada di jl. Raya Wonosobo-Purworejo km 14 Sapuran , Wonosono. Berada di lereng G.Sindoro sehingga udaranya sejuk dan segar tanpa polusi serta pemandangan yang indah. Tempat ini cocok untuk refreshing. Wisatawan dapat beraktivitas di luar ruangan seperti Outbond, Camping dan lainnya.Fasilitas yang tersedia tempat camping, Kamar mandi, Kolam renang dan taman bermain, Restoran, Areal parkir, Fasilitas listrik dan sound system. Suasananya aman dan nyaman.

Akses menuju curug cukup mudah dengan jalan yang baik meskipun lokasi curug di balik hutan. Jarak dari kota Wonosobo sekitar 35 km. Dari areal parkir wisatawan berjalan kaki sejauh 500 m menuju curug tersebut dan wisatawan akan menyaksikan keindahan pemandangan pedesaan serta hijaunya sawah-sawah yang ada. Kecantikan curug ini memang menawan dengan bentuk air terjun menyerupai tempat berselancar dan airnya jernih mengalir di dinding-dinding batu yang hitam. Pemandangannya keren dan asri . Tempat ini cocok untuk refreshing.
