This experience is worth about 2 hours of your time at most. It is very interesting to learn about the history of the Iditarod, but that takes about an hour at most. The sled dog puppies are precious and interacting with them is fun. There is a gift shop and an opportunity to ride on a sled that is pulled by dogs around the grounds. I think the main purpose is to help raise funds to support the Iditarod. A worthwhile stop if you are driving to or from Anchorage, but not as a destination by itself.

Stopped in here after hiking around Hatcher's Pass. Since breweries are proliferating everywhere, it's nice to see Wasilla get one. The place looks like a normal warehouse from the outside but has a nice rustic tasting room inside with bar seating overlooking the brewing room. The offer several kinds of beer for all tastes, as well as a komboucha. A tasting flight is $7.50. Not sure if he works there but the friendly dog was nice too. Worth stopping in while in the area!

We made the time to visit the museum while driving from one point to another and were glad we did. Spent about an hour. It was a great place to walk around - lots of boats, cars, planes, trains. If you enjoy this sort of thing, it's well worth the few dollars to go. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the property outside the museum. A little run-down looking, but it's privately owned. Amazing collection considering.

This museum is such a treasure! We enjoyed milling around for a couple of hours learning about the history of the area & admiring the collections from the past. The mural leading to the downstairs area was GREAT! And the buildings outside were interesting.

We love Live Steamer clubs. The club obviously loves their hobby and all the little fun things set up to look at along the way were awesome. A great 30 minute ride through the forest. They are improving this all the time. A wonderful outing for all ages!!

Great place to camp and pet friendly. I sat by the lake for hours watching the ducks and relaxing. I felt safe camping here alone.

Went to get information for friends that will be visiting from the lower 48, young girl was very informative. The place is small and it smelled like urine, hence the average rating.

This is a 'nature trail' that is elevated above the wetlands of Wasilla Creek as it flows into and through the Palmer Hay Flats. The 'boardwalk' is about 1/2 mile long and nearly parallels the creek to a point in the hayflats where there a 20' x 20' elevated platform. It's an easy walk and might even be wheelchair passable. There are no rails so rambunctious children might fall off and get wet.
The views are impressive with mountains on all sides, water and marsh below. Birds, possible fish (in season), moose and natural creatures abound.

this old building is the attraction. The new road destroyed the historic town of Knik. Darn those bulldozers. The Knik Bar Roadhouse is a real Alaskan dive, hamburgers don't kill you and you can sit down by the lake and eat them. Folks at the Knik Bar and Roadhouse are friendly too.

Easy access off of Parks Hwy. and Webber (>< Chevron & Wendys) Come visit rain or shine. Very large playground, covered picnic/pavillion areas, lots of parking at either end of the park, paved sidewalk, large green belt for lying in the grass and just enjoying the day.
