Warabi Hata Matsuri

The "Warabi Hata Festival" has been held since 1951 in Warabi City, where the cotton industry thrived from the late Edo period. Originally it was an event to pray for the prosperity of the textile industry, and it has since come to be referred to as one of the three major festivals of Warabi. The festival is centered round August 7th, the date that the man who developed the cotton industry, Takahashi Shingoro, began his textile business, and takes place over a period of four days. In addition to Tanabata decorations in the shopping arcade at the west exit of Warabi Station, there is great activity with a variety of events such as shows, teodori dance, and mystery tours...

Warabi is the small city in Saitama which joins in some part of history of Edo era few hundred years ago, because the oldest street to Kyoto i.e. Nakasendo goes through the city.
The museum presents not only the history of the old town but also the current history of the WW2 and post war era.
It would be an interesting place to know the Japanese soceity in Micro level.
