If you are looking for a language immersion experience this is the place to go to. I have not taken French since HS 45 years ago. The teachers, the program and the location made it so enjoyable. Something that could have been very stressful was actually wonderful. I cannot day enough great things about everyone there. If you want a truly fabulous experience this is the place.

Fort du Mont Alban

Reviewed By timc499 - Leeds, United Kingdom

The foot path is signposted from M6098 Princess Grace Boulevard. We walked up very steep steps through the woods and the Parcourse exercise area. Joined the road Chemin du Fort. It took about 35/4O mins brisk walk quite strenuous at first. Stunning views over Villefranche-sur-Mer to Cap Ferrari and Nice on the other side. You can walk around the base of the fort. Visiting is v limited. We did not but you can book a tour at Centre de Patrimonie in Nice or on line. It is Eu5 and I think you get the bus up from Nice with a guide. The return down to Villefranche was via a track to the west of the fort. The start of the track is off the main road up by the fort but tricky to find. Persevere as it is there and one on it way to follow a steep rough track down to Avenue General Leclerc and into town. We were up and back down in 1 1/2 hours but if you take a picnic it is a nice spot to linger. PS you can drive up or walk via the road but not so much fun!

Unfortunately the beaches in Nice are rocky, but in Villefranche there is lots of soft sand and surf. It is a quick train ride from Nice, and there are many vendors and cafe close to the beach.
