A friend invited me to a night of comedy at the theater. Nice atmosphere, lots of parking, beautiful setting and friendly people. Drinks were somewhat pedestrian with a limited offering but adequate. I have been to the grounds for boat and car shows previously, stunning location and close to all things Vero.

A lovely spot - right alongside the beautiful river. Enjoy watching the pelicans dive for Fish and the teeming bird life. Free admission and lovely restrooms. We saw the fishermen catch so many sheeps head along the banks. We didn’t see the manatees but when the water is warmer - this is the spot !!

I wish we had visited these gardens when it was in its heyday, when they had animals on the property. The best part of the gardens is the historical display, including videos showing what it was like many years ago. It is still a very peaceful, lovely setting, but a shadow of its former self.

This area was apparently one of the first areas declared a national wildlife refuge by teddy Roosevelt in 1903. It is a beautiful area that a person can lose themselves seeing the natural beauty. A good spot. To just relax and get away from others and breath in nature. One if my favorite places near the ocean to be at. I am sure that. You will look be it as well.

McLarty Treasure Museum

Been coming to the "Treasure Coast" since 1980 and after visiting this place, I finally know the source of that name. Great display of artifacts and buried treasure finds. Don't miss the extremely dated, yet informative video. $2 admission; takes about two hours to view and read all of the exhibits. Good cold or rainy day alternative to the beach or pool.

South Beach Park

We visited the beach on a Tuesday. We arrived after noon and had no problem finding a parking place in the lots provided. You can rent chairs and and umbrella for the day for a reasonable price, I believe it was $25. We weren’t going to be there the whole day so we took our own chairs. Nice that there are bathrooms close by and picnic tables you can use. We were there on a day when the red flag was out and the lifeguards on duty appeared to be vigilant in their duties and answered many questions from visitors. Nice wide beach area. Very relaxing.

Williams Sonoma, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Polo Ralph Lauren, Chico's Clarks, Samsonite, J. Crew, White House/Black Market, Tommy Hilfiger, Ann Taylor, Hugo Boss, Restoration Hardware, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein and others have their outlet stores located here in Vero Beach, right off of I-95.
Clean public restrooms are available, along with tons of parking, and nearby hotels right around the corner.
Free trolly service circles the outdoor Mall.
Not too much in the way of eats here - no Food Court, but there is a Burger Shake Shack, a McDonald's, and a Cracker Barrel if you do get hungry, and want to get off your feet for a bit.
