This museum is fantastic. Admission includes a visit to the treasure museum, which is also wonderful. I recommend about 30-45 minutes for the treasure museum and more like 2-3 hours for the National Museum. You’ll find history and artifacts on all the princes, traditions of all kinds, and archaeological finds from ancient history!

We stopped in at the Christmas market in Vaduz while in the area. Along the market corridor, we ran into the Center, essentially a tourist information office. Lots of information available for the area including winter sports nearby. The center lies along the main pedestrian area in the center of town and was surrounded by the Christmas Market. If you're in the area, worth the stop.

A simple postal museum but nicely put together. Gives a good overview of the history of Liechtenstein in stamps.
The museum is small but how long you stay depends on how much time you have and how serious you are about stamp collecting or how interested you are in Liechtenstein stamps. You could spend hours here just pulling out the stamp racks and appreciating all the stamps issued by this little Principality throughout the decades.
They've also got a huge variety of stamps for sale including special commemorative covers and sets. You can buy postcards here (and stamps) and of course mail your cards at the same time, which is what we did! They've got tables and stools so you can sit down and write your postcards there. It was a lovely way to end our time in Vaduz - sending home a memorable souvenir postcard from our visit!

Visible from far and wide yet so close you could almost touch it, the emblem of Liechtenstein towers over Vaduz on a rock Terrace which can be reached along a romantic footpath. The castle was first built some 700 years ago. Since 1712 it has been in the possession of the Prince of Liechtenstein. Furthermore, since 1938 it has been the residence of the prince’s family, so it is not open to the public. The 12th century keep and the structures on the east side are the oldest parts of the castle.

Liechtenstein is Smallest country after Vatican and Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein. This country is in between Switzerland and Austria. on the way to Austria from Switzerland we stopped at Vaduz and visited around. Vaduz castle is the main attraction of Liechtenstein.

St. Florin Cathedral is the smallest Cathedral I have seen so far. Unfortunately it was closed at the time we were in Vaduz, so we could only admire the building from outside, but even that was an enjoyable visit. I loved its charming stairways and many interesting details in façade.

Vaduz is a tiny city, very picturesque and friendly but not exactly brimming with things to do.
The central square is very nice without being remarkable in any way. it is clean as a whistle and has a big museum, a church and plenty of shops on it. I loved the slogan that is on the shopping bags and the stickers " Liechtenstein - Go to it, not through it!" Sums the place up though, its so small you'd easily miss it.
We had a very enjoyable day there. The Main Square? Is it worth a visit? Yes but it won't rock your world or anything!

Had we not been on a guided tour with an offer to stop here for a wine tasting, we probably would not have visited on our own, as our research into the winery before our trip only referred to groups and Reservations being required, but no mention about individuals being able to visit outside of established tours.
I believe there may be lots of others like us and so the winery could do much more business if it clarified or provided more info on the Lichtenstein Tourismus website.
Basically, anyone can visit at any time and go to the front desk and request a tasting during their opening hours Monday-Friday: 8am – 12 noon & 1:30pm – 6pm. Saturday: 9am – 1pm.
You can walk through the vineyard and see all the varieties being grown. The vines are labelled at the end of each row, so it was interesting to see e.g. Chardonnay, Gamay and Moscato Rosa and Giallo plants.
They provide 3 samples for tasting and it’s a lovely ambience with the old stone floors, low ceiling and candlelight, surrounded by the winery’s stock. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our guide couldn’t drink and drive, so they provided him with coffee while he waited, which was so very kind of them!
We were given 2016 Pinot Noir Vaduzer samples (2 red, 1 white) – a Blanc, Bocker (oak, cherry, plum) and Herawingert (cracked pepper, dark red fruits).
All full-bodied and with quite an effect on us, especially at 10am in the morning!
We really enjoyed our visit here! We bought a bottle after our tasting which made the best souvenir of our trip to the Prince’s winery and Vaduz!

Founded in 2000, the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein is one of those attractions you will readily find yourself walking into whilst in Vaduz. It is the leading art exhibition institution in the country, with a special focus on international modern and contemporary art. It is also serves as the national gallery of Liechtenstein. The stunning architecture in the centre of Vaduz also hosts a café to sit and relax, and given the capital is very quiet, a visit here is a rewarding exercise.

A great bridge in Vaduz spanning the river with a very modern look. The area is pretty quiet and you can stop on the bridge and take in the scenery.

According to local information, the town hall at Vaduz , Liechtenstein , was built about 1933 by Franz Roeckle and modeled on a medieval urban development. It is the town's meeting place of the municipal council.
Interesting old style architectural details and bronze statues in front of the building.
