We would like to thank Giliberto Stanzioni for perfectly organising our private shore excursion from Civitavecchia to visit Civita di Bagnoreggio and Orvieto. He is very polite , punctual and knowledgable and his car was spacious, clean and fully air-conditioned. Tour was very well organised so well worth money we spent . Definitely recommend Discovery Touring & Limousie service for anyone having Civitavecchia as a port of call or whilst visiting Rome. Thank you Gilberto...... alla prossima.

Trevignano Romano

Reviewed By Bandit-One - Lucerne, Switzerland

We were staying three nights here at Lake Bracciano on the east end of the village. Even though still walkable we always took the car to the village (roads get very dark at the ends of town). There is a good number of parking lots, most of the close to the lake. After 8pm they are free....but be sure to be there a bit earlier, they will fill up fast!
Trevignano Romano is a beautiful small town. There is only a small number of tourists, even in summer. And most of them are Italian tourists. So, it's a great place to escape the tourist masses.
The most interesting part of town is the waterfront. A good number of bars and restaurants. Heading west, the waterfront turns greener and greener with lots of space to walk, also great if you're having a dog with (like us).
There are more restaurants inside of the village and a handful of shops (like a small Conad). But if you want a bit of a romantic feel, you should choose a restaurant right on the waterfront. Go for "Rustico" or "Il Caratello". Starter, mains, housewine and dessert. All will come together for around 30-40 Euro (for two!).
It is a lovely village, Calm, quiet, peaceful. Friendly locals and waiting staff. The lake is good looking, but the Beaches / shores were pretty muddy that summer we went. The water level was very low due to the shortage of rain. So it wasn't really good to go swim or enjoying the Beaches. But that was not what we came for anyways. A wonderful hidden gem.

I Falchi di Rocca Romana - Centro Volo Rapaci

I Falchi di Rocca Romana - Italian Centre for Birds of Prey is a visitor attraction situated at Trevignano Romano. We are open to visitors 7 days a week, especially during the weekend. Many of the birds take to the skies in our spectacular flying demonstrations. From the tiny owls to the mighty and majestic eagles fly in "Falchi di Rocca Romana"'s field. You can take a stroll in the stunning 300 acres of woodland and parkland surrounding the centre. Allow a good 2-3 hours to see everything, but many visitors stay all day (Falconers for a day)

Very nice place to spend an afternoon, our kids loved it. It is a protected environment for birds watching, not a zoo. The staff was very kind and offered our kids a nice adventurous experience. Not a huge park but still very enjoyable

Museo Etrusco-Romano Di Trevignano Romano

Reviewed By 576davidjames - South Petherton, United Kingdom

Our knowledge of the Etruscans, early occupiers of Italy, was totally zilch before we entered this modest museum in the main square of Trevignano Romano. An English-speaking guide set us up for seeing a fascinating exhibition of the extraordinary metal-working and pottery skills of these impressive people.
The captions in English were admirably clear and without the over-blown language of archaeology. Well done. So pleased we popped in.

We visited this cinema for a showing of The Rider in English with Italian & French subtitles. We sat in the main screen which had lots of rows of very comfortable leather cinema seats. The room was air conditioned and the sound system was excellent. Fantastic value for the ticket price of Eur 5.00. Highly recommended for a visit.
