We are from Indiana and just last year discovered how wonderful Florida state parks are. This park did not disappoint. We camped for 3 nights and loved every minute. I would say the campsites are semi private at best but your not right on top of your neighbor either. We were 108 and it was perfect for our tent and close enough to the bath house. The bath house is a little dated but kept clean. Warm water was hard to come by at busy times. Now for the park itself... The river is absolutely gorgeous and the suspension bridge and rapids trails are a must. The water is so clear. Just beautiful. You can rent canoes and kayaks to use. There were also golf cart and bicycle rentals. Pool wasnt open, but looked nice. We will definitely be back.

Flatwoods Park near New Tampa is a great place to get out and walk or ride a bike. The paved trail is well-maintained and makes a large loop. We've walked much of the loop. Water stations are placed at intervals along with rest stations. There are other hiking trails off the main loop. These are not maintained as well (feral hogs often root them up), but make for a nice shady spur. The paved trail is mostly in full sun so going in the morning or evening is recommended particularly in the summer. We park at New Tampa Nature Park and take that trail into Flatwoods Park. Parking is free there and it's a short shady walk to the main loop.

Beautiful 2-hour or 4-hour trips down the river. Wildlife always in view. Good idea to reserve your canoe ahead of time. Great family fun!

Some of the Sellers sleep in so things don't start going until after 9 am. About a third of the spaces are unused but don't let that discourage You. There are a lot of Sellers with Bargains to match. They are just East of Interstate 75 at Exit # 265. Who knows , You just might find that Treasure You have been searching for.

My youth group plans events over the summer to help students build relationships and meet new people who they'll be going to school with in the fall. We come to Orbital each summer. This year i made an error in creating a reservation. I called Orbital two days before our date and THEY MADE IT HAPPEN! This is the second time they bailed me out. Once was another paintball field owners error. Haha, this one was mine. Our referee was Trel. He was THE BEST! We will keep coming back each summer! This is the place to go play paintball in Tampa Bay!

I go here for EVERYTHING! My only "complaint" is that they quickly sell out of the good stuff :) :). Ive been to every shop in the area, and I can truly say that this one is unique, the staff os soooo friendly and knowledgeable, and the items they sell are 100% authentic. I have travelled to the UK for a time, and even there did I not find items that were of the same quality-- I was soooo happy to come back to Thonotosassa just so I could stock up at Mystikal Scents! HIGHLY recommended.
