It's a beautiful swamp forest. Big. U have to walk in mud a distance which is also fun. U have hire small boats. The rate is fixed, u have to confirm. It takes 1 to 2 hr to get back. There is a watch tower in the middle. Best thing is engine boats are not allowed, so it is quiet out there. Undisturbed wildlife u have to explore. I was happy.

The Keane Bridge is popularly known as Surma Bridge as it’s over the Surma River, a notable landmark of Sylhet and called the gateway to Sylhet city. According to the history, the bridge was built in 1936 during British reign and is named after Sir Michael Keane, who was the English Governor of Assam during that time. It is an old iron bridge but still being used mostly by the pedestrians and rickshaws. It’s worth to roaming around the bridge during late afternoon and a walk over it to see the Surma River. There is a Floating restaurant called Surma Cruise, which is a good place to have dinner.

Hazrat Shah Jalal (Rh) is a renowned Sufi Muslim figure in Bengal and is associated with the spread of Islam into north-eastern Bengal. According to history, he arrived in Sylhet in 1303. Thousands of devotees visiting daily from different parts of the country in his shrine as it is famous in Sylhet as well as throughout Bangladesh. One of the largest mosques in Sylhet was built at the Dargah (Tomb). There are lager number of pigeons flying around the Dargah and stay there. There are also fishes in the Dragah. It’s a centuries old historical peaceful shrine to visit in Sylhet.

it a cool water fall but located in India. u can see it while u visit bichanakandi. u need to either walk or rent a boat to reach there, u can see it from may be 100 mtr far, u can not go there technically as it is in India, still u can try.......LOL....if u r brave. boats can reach here in rainy season. make sure u bargain while renting the boat,.very cool and calm natural and scenic. u will love it for sure. but u need to spend some time on road on river for reaching here. no food shop around so better carry water and food. and also not hotel near by to sleep.

Take a walk and admire the Clock, it's not Big Ben put it's still a clock standing for over 200 years I guess, the kean bridge and the clock was built during the British Raj, I see it everyday as I drive past it.

Its the oldest college in Sylhet division. A good number of Bangladeshi intellectuals actually studied there. The buildings are also old with architecctural beauty. Building are made in Assam Style. In recent days due to political violent clashes it would be better to be aware when traveling there. There are also some incidents of snatching things inside the campus at the evening time.

I utterly love its natural beauty with my eyes and nose. If you like plant, forest, enjoy green then it is the place where you should visit at least once.
### How To Go There
You can enter the forest via a three wheel CNG or riding a bicycle or by walking. I personally recommend you to go there by walking if you are physically fit to walk for 1.5-2 hours.Then you will enjoy it's beauty utterly.
### What To Remember
This is a forest and there are no washroom, toilet and others facility there. On the way to enter the forest you will notice mosque (a Muslim place of worship) where you can use the bathroom if necessary. There is also a small pond beside the mosque. Even you can use this for shower. Don't forget to take prior consent from mosque imam before using it And take enough water, and other light foods unless you get tired or hungry.

Situated on the Chunarughat-Madhabpur road just a deviation from Dhaka-Sylhet highway takes about 30-45 minutes drive to reach the main gate. The road itself is a pleasant drive through tea Gardens. There are 3 trails- 30 mins, 1 hr and 3 hrs each. We didn't have enough time to explore any of them so ghe kind staff Mr. Tuhin who also sells tickets took us for a short walk of 10 mins through the palm trees just next to entrance. There were 2 types of wild monkeys playing on trees. Rhesus and the other type he said Lion Monkeys because of their mane like hair. I think that's a local name. There are nice trees and the jungle itself was full of birds. Tuhin said there's a Forest office guest house where you could stay if you take permission from them beforehand. It's not possible to get permission on the spot. There's a Tripura village just next to the forest. If you're respectful to their culture, you can possibly spend some time there too. I would go back for a longer stay.
