Fontain Sadko

Reviewed By bcs488 - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Sadko Fountain is really quite beautiful. On hot days there will be no shortage of kids and even adults wading in it's shallower parts. The sculpture of Sadko with mermaids and such caused me to investigate the story behind this person Sadko. Turns out that Sadko was a wanderer something like Pere Gynt, and even wandered into underwater realms, thus such a sculpture is appropriately placed on a Fountain.

It was neat to see how different cultures view religion. There was a lot of beautiful architecture in the design. It was run down a little because of the neglect the Soviets gave churches.

Kozhedub Park

Reviewed By Sofia R - Istanbul, Turkey

It is located in the city center.
Park has three entrances. 1-Park of Kozhedub, 2-Park Leshens'kyh, 3 - Riverside.
This park is like a forest. There are tall beautiful trees. There are also flowers.
Most atractions are old and usual. I suggest visiting "kryvi dzerkala" room which has different mirrors and they make you look really funny. You can also ride on the Sumy Eye (koleso obozrenia) and see the park, stadium, river etc from it.
There are lame cafes in the park. But you can enjoy cotton candy.
Park is full of statues from fairytales. Some of them are creepy.
You can enjoy walking or running in the park.

Fontain

Reviewed By bcs488 - Grand Rapids, Michigan

This is a Fountain which will not leave a person bored, particularly if there are kids around because they are interacting with the various squirts and jets of water this Fountain ejects. The Fountain is more or less flush with the ground so anyone can just walk into it and get 'showered' if they so choose. Warning, people who do not enjoy kids shrieking and just thoroughly enjoying themselves will not like this. That is OK, there is plenty of room to walk around when walking through this park in an easterly or westerly direction. It is east of McDonald's.

It is a very interesting library with good artwork and an American English center on the second floor. Wi-fi is available in the English center. The library is located on Heroes of Stalingrad Street and is named after Lenin's wife. Both the library's name and the street's name will likely change in the future.

It's a monument designed as a well which portrays a bag, or bags, hooked from the bottom of the well (that is my interpretation anyway). An interesting photo stop on a major pedestrian street in Sumy. A good place for a selfie or group photo
