What am outstanding experience this was once again! The Master tasting was as amazing as always. Thanks to our Sommelier Juli who went above and beyond at every corner. She was so friendly, informative, and SUPER PATIENT with some of our party! For just $7 for a private Master tasting of 8 wines paired with 8 cheeses, in a gorgeous barbell room, this is the best deal on Earth! But just dont take my word for it, and make your way there, I promise you won't regret it! Thanks to Juli and the staff of Fairview for another wonderful wine tasting experience!!!

Graceland Venues

Reviewed By wgordon2016 - Kuils River, South Africa

What an excellent place to take your children to. Toddlers can use the water boat safely and teens, Moms and Dads can enjoy the water slides. There is enough covered/shaded seating with tables. At R120 per person for full access to all water facilities seems a bit steep. However this becomes self-limiting and prevents overcrowding. If you are not making use of the pools and water slides access is R50 per person. No food and beverages are allowed to be taken into the facility. No alcohol is allowed_ not even a beer on sale inside the place! This makes it a safe and rowdy- free play area for the kids and parents alike. Inside food van be purchased; e.g. *boerie roll R25.00 *hotdog and chips R35.00 Signage to the venue can be improved. Parking is outside the venue_ so you have to carry your bags (change of clothes, towels, ground sheets, foldup chairs, etc.) for quite a distance before you can settle in.

The Alpaca Loom Coffee Shop & Weaving Studio

Enjoy our decadent cakes and a cup of freshly brewed coffee at the coffee shop, while taking in the stunning views of the alpaca herd and Table Mountain in the background. Watch our weavers at work, interact with the alpacas and all the other animals in the petting zoo and have your kids use up all that pent-up energy on the jungle gym or go on an Alpaca Barn Tour. Since 2004, the alpaca herd has grown substantially to over 350 animals. The wool is sent for spinning and is then either hand-woven or woven on a mechanical loom in small runs on the actual farm. At The Alpaca Loom we produce a variety of woven scarves, shawls, blankets and rugs using the beautiful range of natural colours that our alpacas produce. Open daily: 10:00 to 18:00 Alpaca Barn Tours: Meet our alpaca herd up close and find out more about this special animal and its luxurious fiber. Every hour on the hour Alpaca Walks: Explore the farm accompanied by an alpaca on a halter. Daily at 10:00 & 16:00

Been several times to Laborie, but on this day it was very quiet, the staff were not rushed at all, it was a very hot day indeed. Had a merlot and a meat platter, both of which were good, but due to the heat I didn't finish. Excellent views over the vines and worth a visit.
