Las Charcas Mud Baths

Small lakes with very warm water, and deck and step access provided. People bath in these pools and smear the mud from the bottom over their bodies. The mud is reportedly excellent for damaged skin and for arthritic pain

Reviewed By Norma_L159 - Killin, United Kingdom

Our first visit was on Wednesday 4th October 2017. Read a previous review and the directions to Lo Pagan worked very well. Completely free and great fun even if you don't get muddied up. Met a lovely bunch of people who lent us their small beach bucket and also gathered us some mud, which did the 3 of us. We used our hands to spread it all on and laughed a lot. Yes it is smelly (like rotten eggs) when handling it but it disappears quickly once on. You then stand on the wooden piers to dry. I would recommend taking a vessel of some description to gather the mud and a sponge or cloth to get it of again. We weren't prepared so a pair of socks were used on this occasion.
Lovely big Promenade too with beech bars and shops to browse. Great day out and would go back in a minute. Don't mis it if you are in the area.

Lo Romero Golf

Reviewed By Mike V - Guernsey

We went to Lo Romero twice in cold January weather. What lovely people run this course and the course was in excellent condition despite heavy rain. Also wasn’t lined with houses or apartments and seemed to be only about golf. No sumptuous Clubhouse just functional wooden buildings. Plus the eighteenth hole is very special.

I spent an afternoon here with two adults and eight children. It is a good place to shop with children as it is clean, tidy and relatively easy to keep an eye on the kids. Nice shops, friendly staff and good places to eat and drink when required. As it is outside and not enclosed in a buliding it isabit like walking in a small town.

Roda Golf Course

We ate here mostly because of the setting, the outdoor dining area is beautiful with an amazing view over the golf course & beyond. We went on a Tuesday, for whatever reason the menu is limited to other days. We all had a fillet beef meal, it was nice food & we would eat there again. Staff are friendly & helpful. Some of us had the chocolate melt in the middle cake, this was pretty amazing.

Mar Menor Golf

Reviewed By Steve W - Bradford, United Kingdom

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Mar Menor Golf Resort. Let me say we are not golfers but we liked the look of the villa and were not disappointed!
We stayed at 136 Calle Castano booked through Ownersdirect with Janice Scott from Murcia Villas.
The villa is spotless with a very large, private, and clean pool. The downstairs is open plan with a modern kitchen with everything you could ever need including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer etc. In the lounge there is a flat screen tv and a comfortable suite, air conditioning throughout. upstairs there are 2 spacious bedrooms and a balcony.
The resort is very quiet, but that's what we liked, It is also very clean. There is a decent Spar supermarket on site and near the hotel a couple of restaurants. We didn't eat on the resort we went just outside the main entrance, there is a strip of several bars and restaurants. Our particular favourite was the Shamrock Lounge, they have a varied menu, friendly staff and good food! Another one we liked was Route 66 an american themed bar/ restaurant.
If you want a quiet chilled out holiday this could be for you. The only downside is the Golf resort is a bit of an oasis, to get the best of this region you would need to hire a car.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf

Jack Nicklaus designed courses have always been noted for the quality, and at times, quantity of their bunkering. At Hacienda Riquelme, full reign has been given to the Jack Nicklaus designer's imagination! The golf course is a par 72, and 6416 metre, course. The course covers an area of 71 hectares, and has a stunning mountain backdrop and panoramic views of the coast. The golf course is much longer than some others. It also features four sets of tees per hole. The course differs from the five others in the Nicklaus Golf Trail (a group of six golf courses in the Región de Murcia, which make up Europe´s best golfing challenge). IRM Nike Golf is a unique golfing experience, made up by six Nicklaus Design-Golf Courses, with the highest quality and design standards. However, on Hacienda Riquelme, all of the residential properties are set back and further away from the course compared to some other golf complexes, giving a feeling of space.

Reviewed By SurreyBillJ - Thorpe, United Kingdom

This is definitely the most pretty and attractive of the six golf courses we have visited during our stay. Sadly, we won’t be visiting again as the course signage is either non-existent or poorly placed!
The distances between some holes is unusually long and, if you have a geological map as a brain, you may be able to find your way round without getting lost! Why on earth aren’t there simple directions from the green of each hole, indicating the way to the next tee? Simple, but not there. Such a shame as this is a lovely place and we would have been happy to visit again.
Having walked nearly seven miles and taken 4.5 hours to navigate our way round, this is unlikely!
