Mon Is

Reviewed By Lisa C

Wandered down with the kids expecting to see the cows being milked..no cows! We should've checked the milking times...so go in the late afternoon if you go.
There were calves to see and stroke. The kids enjoyed that.
Ice cream is excellent, small kiosk, all home made on the farm with plenty of flavours.
Only a short visit, give it an hour but no more.

Thorsvang - Danmarks Samlermuseum

Reviewed By Rupert S - Stege, Denmark

This museum is a wonderful and truly expansive collection of 'gammel'/old-age Danish paraphernalia: a veritable shopping precinct brought back to life.
Butchers, bakers, candlestick-makers, hardware stores, even an old cinema and a complete primary school classroom are resurrected for us/the vistor to walk around and view.
Connected to the museum is an excellent cafe/restaurant.
If you visit Møn...put this on your list of 'MUST SEE'.

Stopped there on a weekday morning, and was the only one there. Quiet and amazing frescoes inside the church.

Nyord Church

We loved Nyord. We walked around for about two hours and had our dog with us. The church is very pretty and quaint. The people were all so nice and friendly and it was well worth the little excursion out of our way. Don't miss it.

Stege Kirke

Reviewed By Margaret M - Auckland, New Zealand

A large solid brick building that is surprisingly light and airy inside, as it all white. The altar window (1990) is sympathetic to the space. Pamphlets about the church are available in 3 languages (20kr)- a bonus as it helps to appreciate just how old it is, and how it has changed and kept up to date.

Lene Evers Chokolade

Reviewed By Lars1437 - Copenhagen, Denmark

A brave initiative to open up a high end - and expensive - chocolate shop in a Stege backyard cellar. Rent is probably cheap come to think of it. The ambiance is terrific and the products are more than average. Worth another visit soon!

Molleporten

Reviewed By Mary H - New Braunfels, Texas, United States

If you are a history person or interested in architecture, you would give this more stars. I was impressed with its preservation and completeness. There is nothing much to notice except this was the entry gate into the old city. You can walk under the arches or study the outside architecture. It was made with wood and bricks and limestone. Still in good shape and interesting to see.

Liza"s Gallery

Reviewed By EastOfTheSun

Liza's gallery is an excellent gallery. Have visited a few times now and has enjoyed each visit . The owners and artists liza & Rupert are very nice and make you feel at home. The paintings and housewares on display are really good. There are also options to buy the original products. Which are very reasonably priced. Prints of the originals are also available at a lower price and are of an excellent quality too. The gallery looks great inside and out and i can certainly reccomend. It is free to enter and really is little gem in stege. The gallery also has some great Exhibitions throughout the year from artists far and wide. The gallery is a first class cultural hub and a great place to visit.

Galleri Warrer

Reviewed By Anne Dorthe M

Sprovedyssen

Reviewed By Aime_voyager87 - Ottawa

This dolmen doesn't appear on regular online maps and I didn't see it mentioned in any guidebooks, however it is marked on the local ones available from the tourist information centre. It is extremely close to Kong Asgers Hoej, so once there look around for directions to it. There are a couple of plaques with explanations in Danish, English and German. Easy to observe how it was built.
