We live in the area and often choose Cayuga trail because of the dry wines . We love all the wineries and the views are unreal. If I had to pick one that stands out I don't think I could . The wineries in the...MoreThank you for taking the time to write this review. It's great to hear how much you appreciate our reds, when we're mostly known for our Rieslings! :)

The place was mobbed, lots of drunks. The decor was cute but a bit of a theme park feel and the wines were too sweet for us. Two of the places have nothing but sweet fortified wines and one has "real" wine but the bartender was rude. We wanted to try certain ones but there were so many people he was just pouring at random and not even telling us what they were. He actually poured one wine on top of another in my glass and then said I was out of tastes even though I didn't get to taste it. Most of the places you had to elbow your way up to the bar. Felt like they were more into selling trinkets than making quality wines or experiences.

We loved Muranda Cheese because they let you taste over a dozen cheeses and we all liked something different, proving that tastes are very subjective and there will always be something to somebody's liking. The woman was knowledgeable and friendly and cheeses were affordable. You can also look in the barn window and see the cows. Great stop!

Women's Rights National Historical Park tells the story of the first Women's Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, NY on July 19-20,1848.
We were here on our drive from Buffalo to Adirondak on Fall Foliage viewing tour. It was mid morning no much crowd, could find parking behind the building lot.
Relatively larger exhibition and information area that highlights a lot.
Since location is away from busy / noisy city it had additional advantage to achieve the desired task in peace.
At the end of tour I needed to help a physically disabled family member to a family rest room, but they did not have that facility.

Waterloo Premium Outlets features an impressive collection of the finest brands for you, your family and your home. Include a shopping stop during your next trip to the area. Located midway between Rochester and Syracuse, Waterloo Premium Outlets is conveniently located off the New York State Thruway (I-90) between Exits 41 and 42 in the picturesque Finger Lakes Region. Local Shop & Stay packages are available.
We have visited Waterloo Outlets over the years and noticed recently that there are more empty storefronts than in the past. Clothing is definitely the focus of this mall. We were there for 3 hours and found some deals.

Established in 1938 in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York, the refuge contains 7,068 acres for the resting, feeding and nesting habitat of waterfowl and other migratory birds.
Thank goodness there are still people who want to experience nature and that this spot is available. We arrived late afternoon and an employee was willing to share the eagle spotting, and give us tips on our drive through the terrain. Off we went with perfect late afternoon lighting, birds and flowers everywhere with some other special visual treats. It is peaceful just remembering how nice it was.

Experience a taste of life on a 19th-century estate when you visit this National Historic Landmark. Once a working farm, the house and surrounding grounds are now open seasonally for guided tours. Through family letters, photographs, and diaries, explore the family's joys and sorrows and their interactions with neighbors and the many workers required to keep the large house and farm in working order. Trained as a merchant, discover how Robert Swan combined business methods of organization with scientific innovations like drain tile to make his farm more productive and profitable. See twenty rooms restored and furnished in the Empire style, popular from the 1820s to 1850s. Enjoy the magnificent view of Seneca Lake from the front porch and the vista of nearby farmlands.Rose Hill Mansion Gift Shop features a selection of locally produced food products, historically themed gifts and hand crafted items. It's a Wonderful Life has been my absolute favorite movie since childhood.. so over the years I've researched Bedford Falls.. where it was, etc... and for years, after finding out that Seneca Falls is the inspiration for the town in the movie, I've wanted to come here.. for the museum..for the Festival.. for the bridge. Well, two out of three ain't bad. I hope to come back for the festival. it was worth it to come for the museum.. and then stay in Seneca Falls for a while. there is lots to see and some nice restaurants too for a good lunch!
The museum made me so happy! Starting with the man who was running the place, what a lovely gentleman... the exact person you want to meet while visiting a museum like this one. He seemed to completely understand my dramatic entrance and over-reaction to be in the entry way of the museum! He had such enthusiasm to welcome us.. and genuinely loved our enthusiasm to be there.
The museum mostly had images and quotes from Frank Capra, Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed and the rest of the cast and crew.. not a lot of original set pieces or actual pieces from the movie but that didn't really bother me.. it was so interesting to me to read the insider info about the movie, etc.. it had all the info on the inspiration for the movie, the book it was based on, the inspiration for George Bailey.. and some small items from the Oscars.
I loved just being there.. just sharing the love for the movie with the other visitors.. quoting the movie.. clicking the lighter and saying "I wish I had a million dollars... hot dog". all silly things .. but awesome all the same!
I would recommend this place for any fan..

Renting Canoes, Kayaks, SUPs, paddleboats, and other awesome watercrafts in the Finger Lakes region of New York, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, Fuzzy Guppies offers an awesome paddle for all skill levels.
I am very new to kayaking and thanks to Justin at Fuzzy Guppies, it was WONDERFUL! The service was super nice and attentive and the equipment was picked to match my skill level, helping me to paddle with confidence! We chose to paddle the canal located right at the shop, which was a perfect choice-beautiful scenery paired with calm water. Launching and docking were made a breeze by the staff. I will definitely be back-Thanks for the great time!!
