Great fun here. 4 golf course options give a lot of variety. Not too crowded and lots of activities, including the arcade where you can spend a lot of $$$. Staff always very friendly and courteous. I would go later in the afternoon because the heat is just too much before 3-4pm.
Will come back again!

The Children's room is outstanding having the giant aquarium as its front wall. They have their own dinosaur named 'Stan' and a group of computers to use. It's a great place for the kids.

next to the Front Desk is the media room, with a great selection of CDs and DVDs. There is an "Internet Station" where you can check your email, or do a brief search.

Upstairs by the stacks is a bank of computers to use for study for research -free.

They also have a group of 'Study Rooms' that can be reserved in advance. If you have a group study project you can use one of the rooms and not disturb the other patrons.

The library also houses a great art collection and a special event room on the top floor. The Skylight room also has a roof-top patio,

La Mirada Theatre

Reviewed By Alexandra T - Murrieta, California

The La Mirada Theater is in a shopping center that gets very crowded on weekends, but there is free parking(but a lot of the spaces were striped badly, with no room for a car!) There are two separate entrances, so make sure you know where your 'will call' tickets will be or you will have to walk around the building. At intermission, be ready for long, long, long lines at both the men's and ladies' rooms. The seats were comfortable and even the balcony had a good view.

Heritage Park

Reviewed By Kenneth L - Los Angeles, California

The park is several acres of historic building, a train, and a recreated Tongva village. The ruins of the former ranch house sits about the center surrounded by a water tank, conservatory, aviary, carriage house, and smaller buildings. Intermixed are gardens and it is a popular place for local works to enjoy lunch. In a corner is a railroad exhibit including a locomotive, refrigerated car, and caboose along with a small station and other buildings and a rose garden. The Tongva village sits at a lower elevation behind thick vegetation making it feel more like it might have hundreds of years ago. Across the street is a sculpture garden leading off to a commercial development.

The main park is open most of the day, but the Carriage Barn and Railroad Exhibit are open 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm., closed Monday and Friday and major holidays.

Glad I had the opportunity to discover this place while in town for business. Have to agree the pastrami sandwich was noteworthy setting a standard other sandwiches will have a hard time meeting. The meat was juicy and tender. Even the iced tea was special. Burger looked great, salad with salmon looked good too everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their food. You can tell it is crafted to order, isn't the fastest place but it allowed for us to really visit with each other.
