Another amazing day on the water with Tico.
Myself and 3 others set up a fishing, wildlife watching and snorkeling.
We were picked up promptly at 8:30 by his driver and taken to the marina
Did a little looking around a couple of bays and spotted 2 humpback whales.
Headed out a little further to fish and all for of us caught fish.
Headed to a very calm bay for snorkeling and saw many many different fish.
On to a lunch stop and then the bay tours which were great.
Second time out with Tico and I know there are cheaper trips in smaller boats but I’m old enough to realize you get what you pay for and we had the best Tico as captain and Neu the first mate.
Very very pleasurable day!!

Cacaluta

Easiest to get here by boat... but we made the 30-40 minute hike thru the woods from the end of the paved road. BRING WATER! Arriving at the beach is like a mirage -- after sweating thru the jungle brush you come to a magnificent, huge, hilly, powdery sand beach ringed by giant rocks & cliffs. I've been to many many Beaches and this is one of the most stunning... and natural. We saw a few private boats moored & enjoying the beach - a few other tour boats passed by... but we were the only people from land -- for half-a-day. Swimming is ok in most areas. Very limited shade and NO services of any kind. Felt like Castaway! Fabulous!

EDUARDO is a friendly, happy and knowledgeable tour guide. We went on a tour with him in January 2016. He took us on a snorkelling tour where we visited beautiful bays and Beaches. He was an excellent boat driver, and snorkel instructor, and ensured we were all safe and comfortable. Our group had 3 adults and 4 teens. We all had a an amazing time snorkelling and swimming and enjoying gorgeous private Beaches. Eduardo made this day the highlight of our vacation, and as my teenage son recently commented.... "snorkelling with Eduardo was the best day we've EVER had on vacation!"
I cannot say enough good about Eduardo and his awesome tour! He knew how to make sure we had fun, yet was professional in his care of us. We will definitely do another tour with Eduardo the next time we are in Huatulco! Gracias Eduardo!!!

Hagia Sofia

Agroecological development where can be admire different phases from the cultive of fruit trees and exotic flowers. Natural sanctuary for butterflies and birds. Hagia Sofía is a paradise to return to nature and spiritual peace.

Reviewed By RICHARD S - MALLORYTOWN

We’re so glad that we decided to visit the Hagia Sophia property! Moises, our bus driver and tour guide, is fluent in both English and Spanish and very knowledgeable. It was fun to enjoy the delicious breakfast and lunch in a charming outdoor setting, featuring fruits and vegetables grown there. The walk was very doable, although at times hot due to the high humidity, and we learnt so much about the trees and plants and their various medicinal uses. Cooling off in the river and under the Waterfalls was the perfect finale to the walk.
It’s quite a long drive and the roads are not in the best shape, so if you are prone to car sickness, this may not be the trip for you.

This is a store that has many hand made treasures to take home with you! We bought a black pottery vase and had great service both times we were in the shop. Everything was explained very well and there was not the huge pressure to buy like other shops we were in. My vase was wrapped carefully for travel and made it back to Canada in perfect condition.

Playa San Augustin

This beach is perfect for snorkeling and diving and features fresh-seafood restaurants.

Reviewed By Sadielady947 - Calgary, Canada

The beach was absolutely lovely. The Bay is lined with enough restaurants and bars that are not competitive. Prices are very high. Bring your own food and negotiate with the collective taxi before you leave the highway because they will rip you off. Snorkeling is good and the waves are gentle.

The beach changes from year to year. Some years there really is no beach when the water is high. This year we were very lucky because the beach was vast!!! And there was no one on it!! Beautiful for a beach walk, or even better, bring your beach umbrella, and a couple chairs, and a cooler and spend the afternoon. If you want to eat be sure to go to the restaurant on the left (when looking from the beach) and try the shrimp burger, or whole fried fish....amazing.
