Sanford Lake Park

Reviewed By Atroobritt - Sanford, Michigan

Very nicely laid out with security patrols, A good watersplash park for the children. Long shallow walk in, but can get a bit weedy and silty at the weekends with a lot of people in the water. Bouys are arranged to keep the boats out of the swimming area. There is an excellent boat dock/slip and plenty of parking for boat trailers as well as individual cars that is not too far from the beach area. The beach is cleaned regulary. There are also BBQ's available. Altogether great for families young and old alike.

This venue is all about the game. . Bring a chair or blanket for affordable lawn seats, purchase tickets in the seats, in the pavillion, or in the corporate suites above. Many seats are under cover for weather issues. Lots of special happenings on game days for the family. Lewy the loon, is the mascott that is a hoot. Lots of food options and many days there are specials on food and drinks. A great affordable family outing. We always have fun when we go. Lots of large restrooms. If you don't want to pay for parking that is near, , park in the downtown area and walk. The entire area is getting a facelift and is looking really good. Enjoy

We saw a production of Fiddler on the Roof in the little auditorium at the Midland Center for the Arts on Saturday evening. While there was another event happening in the larger auditorium that same evening, there was easy-access parking and getting there (and out) was quick and easy. At intermission the line for the closest bathroom was long, but there are several other restrooms nearby. Refreshment stands are well staffed. Everything appears clean and well-maintained. The musical itself was excellent, with a beautiful set and talented cast and crew. It was easy to get lost in the story, they were so good. If you have a chance to go, don't miss this little gem of a theatre!
