Visited Anto Samos in August this and to no surprise we found the beach absolutely packed... however there is still enough room for you to enjoy yourself without people sitting on top of you. The Water Sports section is a bit expensive but well worth a go!

Drogarati Cave

The Drogarati Caves are well worth a visit in spite of the many, many steps down to the cave floor. The actual natural structures formed over thousands of years are brilliantly illuminated to highlight these wonderful sights. A minimum entrance fee does not prepare you for such a beautiful & interesting attraction.(Money well spent.)

Boulevard Boat Hire Kefalonia

We offer pleasure boats with which you can visit the beautiful secluded bays and Beaches just north of Agia Efimia village, which can only reached by boat. All our boats are fully cushioned, they all have a proper canopy, a ladder at the back of the boat and they all come with a cooler box and a beach umbrella. All boats also have the necessary life-saving equipment such as life jackets on board. A proper tuition is given prior to your departure on how to drive the boat, how to drop anchor in a bay and how to approach a beach.

Rented a small boat from Johnny on a beautiful day in September, and couldn't recommend his company, staff or the experience enough. The day started with comprehensive instructions and practical demonstration, and then we were set free to explore the tens of coves and Beaches up the coast at our leisure. It is an exceptionally pretty coastline only reachable by sea or hike, with plenty of stop off points, and if you're lucky you'll have the opportunity to bag a beach to yourself, at least for an hour or so as we did. The day felt great value at €80 and €15 of fuel for such a lovely experience. The instructions etc were clear and pitched just right and Johnny and ?Gordon were very friendly. All in all a throughly enjoyable day and one of the highlights of our trip. TIP: get there early if you can as you'll have the pick of the Beaches then.

Melissani Cave

My first observation was that the line moved quickly and that we were not waiting for long, despite arriving midday. The inside was just stunning - the water was unbelievably blue and yet crystal clear. You really have to see it!
The tour was conducted on a small boat with a guide who provided history and facts, answered questions, took photos, and was generally kind and entertaining. Others sang songs, causing us all to laugh. The tour only lasts for ten or so minutes, and you are not permitted to swim, but it was undeniably a highlight of my trip. There is also a small gift shop and cafe.

Port of Sami

Reviewed By hejmark - London, United Kingdom

We stayed on the other side of the island near Agrostoli, but visited Sami and it just felt and looked so much nicer. Came late afternoon, very end of season and everything was pretty much deserted: but it had that charming watercolour torpor that only comes after the recent departure of months of fierce Sunshine and crush of visitors. Delightful. (But probably a bit less so at height of season.)

Once you have found your way, through the one way streets to the Ferry in Argostoli, you are on your way pretty quickly over to the other side, Lixouri. The Ferries run more often in peak season often every half an hour so if you miss one not too long to wait in a bar over the road or in the ferry shelter. Less than 10 euros each way for a car and 2 passengers and only takes 20mins and quick to disembarque the vehicles. Stops running about 10.30/11pm I think so if you take a late flight, or get delayed, you would have to drive around the long way. Very efficient service. Buy your tickets on board - the man comes around to see you. Easy when you know how!
