Originally Bridge Road was Melbourne's Outlet centre with lots of bargains, which sadly has been replaced by the bigger DFO style shopping centres. However, eclectic "boom style" architectural facades and a hip vibe, this street is still worth a visit with an abundance of coffee shops and interesting niches, to fill up a visitors day.

As a Richmond resident, this is my go-to park for a quick visit with the grand daughter. The playground is divided in half with younger kids equipment on one side and school aged kids equipment on the other. Both areas are always full of friendly parents, grandparents and kids. Citizens Park also has a footy/cricket oval with a dog-off-leash area, barbeques, picnic tables and toilets. There's lots of fun to be had in this friendly local park.

Attractive, well maintained garden that is under utilised. At weekends it is often empty so it is a great place for family picnics or a hang-out for young families. There are always interesting plants to see and many mature trees. Parking is generally available and if you are riding on the Boulevard this is a good spot to stop.

Dame Nellie Melba (born Helen Porter Mitchell) was a Richmond native. This pretty park is in the City of Yarra. Nellie Melba was amongst the best sopranos of her age. She was probably the most famous Australian of her time. She was the toast of every opera house in Europe. It';s fitting that the suburb of her birth has commemorated her with this small, but attractive park. Just follow the map, you'll find it.

The Bryant and May complex was once a match factory. Now it is an upscale office and retail complex. The area around the Bryant and May factory has gentrified into an upper class retain and residential area. The factory is dates from 1909. It is an impressive building. It even has a clock tower with "BRYANT AND MAY" on the face instead of "1 to !2." The Bryant and May factory made the beloved "Redheads," Australia's favourite matches, until they were put out of business by cheap imports. The factory, however, is still there; it has taken to its new life like a duck to water. The tram goes right pas the door, you can't miss it.

Richmond is going through a cycle of gentrification, but nothing can hide its proletarian origins. Among these signs are the almost total lack of parks in rhe suburb's main business areas. No room for parks among the factoies for their sweated labour.. Along the Yarra riverside can be found a chain of parks,, which make for pleasant recreation. These days, no more of the 'river that flows upside down,' The Yarra, is much cleaner. now. Spend some time along the riverside park, you'll like it.

McConchie Reserve is a small park by the Yarra River. Facilities include a playground for children and seats for visitors. The park is on the Yarra River trail. Walk for about 8 kms in the right dirrection and you will eventually get to central Melbourne. As usual, the City of Yarra have done a fine job keeping McConchie Reserve spick and span. You can walk down Mary Street from the Swan Street tram to get to the park.

Absolutely love this spot! On a grassy hill overlooking the yarra and the historic Hawthorn bridge, this spot is superb. The rotundas( which can be hired for weddings) take you back to a bygone era.Situated on the 75 & 48 tram route it's extremely easy to get to. After you finish relaxing here you can head for a walk down the yarra trail.
