Beautiful grounds and buildings. Farmers market (limited dates) was very interesting with many types of foods to sample and buy. Outdoor market was primarily veggies. An alternate area was available to get information on the grounds and activities for the environment. Also had hiking and bicycle paths. Would be very nice to go spring or early fall. I think tours are available by reservation.

Top notch entertainment for reasonable prices. Can't beat the shows, but their new programs are really fun. Their Tuesdays with Stories programs are held at 12 and 7 and examine books and have a one-person interpreter who acts out some of the scenes...followed by a Q and A with the artist. At lunch there are small snacks with a $5.00 lunch available for preordering. In the evening there is wine and cheese between the presentation and the Q and A. Another fun program is their Club 28 which is a cozy, on-the-state cabaret style performance. The performer/s sit facing the audience, while the guests are on stage at small cabaret style tables for 4 and you are right up close and personal with the artist. For the 12 o'clock performance there are small snacks, but for the evening performance there is wine, soda, water, and cookies with snacks on the table. Each ticket entitles the bearer to 2 free alcohol drinks...wine or beer...and the soda, water, and cookies are on the house. Attendee all comment on how cozy and nice this experience is! It's great entertainment with a nice atmosphere.

We've only been once but had a ton of fun and will definitely be back. Staff was a little rude (acted super annoyed when we asked questions about pricing and how it all worked) but we didn't have to interact with them at all after that and had a really good time! They have so many games!!

Pinot's Palette

Reviewed By Kay H - Naples, Florida

Pinot's Palette in Somerville is a great place to go, have a super time and come home with a great painting. Generally, the entire group paints the same painting. A lead instructor provides instructions from the stage and 1 or 2 roving instructors assist individuals as needed. Bring some food and wine (or beer) and enjoy the experience. Went with one friend but you can sign up by yourself or with a larger group.

Instructors are knowledgeable, warm, friendly and very encouraging as they help you with the painting. I am a total non-artist and have come home twice now with paintings I've hung on the wall. Pretty cool and a lot of fun!

If you have time during the day, they have an open studio session in the afternoon twice a month when you can paint any scene from their entire selection.

BTW, if you park at a meter, make sure you check the timing/add more money. The Somerville cops will ticket you if your meter time runs out.
