Overall, our experience was fun but some areas were disappointing.
My partner and I were recommended Skualo by the Thomas Cook desk at our hotel when we asked about going snorkelling for the first time. We decided that the cost of 90 Euros (£80) seemed fair for the two of us and for the amount of time plus pick-up from the hotel.
Unfortunately we had some problems during the excursion itself:
1. Lack of Communication
There was little attention given to us at the centre other than providing us with the scuba kit (Wet suits and snorkels). However, we weren't updated on what was happening or where we were going. When other people (including some divers) arrived and were getting ready then we were left standing around aimlessly. It was about 45 minutes until we set off on the boat at last.
2. Lack of Instructions
Once the divers were dropped off we were taken to a bay to begin snorkelling, but we were expected to just get in the water and go. There were absolutely no instructions on what to do or what to watch out for. We were in deep water and neither of us had done it before, including using scuba flippers. The driver eventually went over some of what to do but it felt very awkward and I was surprised there was no teaching involved or we weren't brought to a less deep area to practice first.
3. Time
The actual time spent snorkelling was little over 1 hour. The spot was decent as there were fish and jellyfish to see, but after the divers came back then we returned to the centre. For what we paid this was definitely disappointing.
4. Swimming Goggles
I had brought my own prescription swimming goggles and at the centre I was told that I could use them, but no one pointed out that (without the standard mask which covers the nose) I'd have nothing to block my nostrils.
The driver didn't have any on the boat so this meant I had to use one hand to hold them closed while I was swimming. For a dedicated diving centre, I'm surprised that this wasn't picked up on when we were getting ready.
The staff were generally fine, the actual snorkelling itself was fun but the cost and awkwardness really tarnished the experience, so I feel unable to rate my Skualos experience higher.

Cala Morlanda

Hired cycles to go here since it is a couple of miles from where we are staying. Was tipped off that this is fantastic for snorkelling. There's no beach, just several sets of steps cut into the side of cliff. Popular place for coasteering, scuba, snorkelling and cliff jumping. Also mainly local Mallorcan people there which made it especially nice. We went to snorkel and were not disappointed. Really good spot and safe out to as far as the yellow buoys at the entrance to the cove then it got a bit choppy. Saw lots of fish in including pipefish, hermit crabs and some good size shoals. Tip: bring plenty of water and water shoes.

We decided to try this place after passing it a few nights previous on a walk along the sea front. The staff were so welcoming as we arrived & found a table for us. It was really busy but we didn't have to wait long to be served with our drinks & given a menu.
The food was amazing! My oldest tried the sizzling chicken pieces which we all had a piece of as the looked lovely. My youngest had a kids pizza, my partner had Gyros & I had chicken breast.
The meal was a bit more expensive than we'd been paying but this was due to the meal not just being 'pub food'.
Will definitely be visiting here next year!

Visited in Feb 2018 so not really able to enjoy the sea as the water too cold. However nice clean beach and plenty of space . Typical Spanish Promenade and worth a walk in any conditions. Should give a mention to the Spanish workers who were out every morning cleaning the paths and emptying all the bins. Probably not noticed by most

I went to Mallorca This August and when I saw this "cala" from the side I couldn't believe how beautiful it was!
Cala Mandia is like a natural swimming pool!
If you go take your time and also visit Cala Romantica which is next to it.
Note that the weather and the tide might impact the quality of the water
Enjoy and jump from the rocks

For the second year in a row Sabrina has surpassed my expectations. Stumbled across Cleobell last year on the hunt for a massage. Was so impressed by the massage that we booked in for a second immediately. Followed by a real 'Fußpflege' extremely hygienic and beautifully finished. Looked forward to this year's visits long before arriving and have had three massages (including a special treatment, when Sabrina noticed a problem area in my back). Cleobell is not just some massage on the beach, they is so much more.
