Since we were with a group of 31 people, we had made arrangement ahead of time to have several tour guides. Even though this is a small museum they had a lot of interesting items and the guides seemed well informed,.

ArtForms Gallery

ArtForms Gallery is a cooperative gallery for local artists located in the downtown area of Pittsburg. There is a nice variety of items for purchase, including wonderful pottery pieces, hand decorated silk scarfs, paintings, jewelry, and decorative items. A group of seven friends drove from Kansas City to Pittsburg to shop at the gallery and we each came home with purchases. We all agree that it was a fun day trip!

This is a beautiful university. We stopped here after dinner to walk around campus.

Unfortunately, the way the campus is set up you can only visit a small portion on one side unless you drive all the way around town to the other side so we only got to view a small section of this University.

My husband and I went here and the music level was so loud that we had to literally scream directly into each other's ears to be heard. They also do not have a wide enough selection of games compared to other casinos I have visited....MoreThank you for your review! We’re working daily to provide our guests an amazing experience. Emotional moving tribute to the miners. My grandfather worked in the mines in Pittsburg. Fortunately he discovered he preferred life outside the mines and became a machinist. Other family members continued to work in the mines. He took off to California and never looked back.

Stage preformances of all kinds from The Little Theatre to name stars like Travis Tritt and Roy Rogers Jr. and The Glen Miller Orchastra. And local dance preformances also. Labor Day celebrations lends the basement for quilt shows and chili fund raisers. Something for everyone. Do leave out this jewel.

1,500 acres of water and 13,000 acres of land. All but 2,000 acres of the property was surface mined for coal during the 1920’s through 1974. The property is rugged country dotted with over 1,000 strip-mine lakes, steep-sided hills and dense vegetation. Unmined areas consist of mature bottomland woodland and small crop fields. The strip-mine lakes vary in size from ¼ ace to 50 acres in size with depths to 60 feet.

This 3.6 mile nature trail is mostly naturally shaded by trees with a compacted rock path the entire route. With several side paths you can easily shorten or lengthen your walk.
The Casseletto Loop is by far the most fun. This loop has several changes in altitude with creek views, bridges, and intersects several side paths. We even saw deer on this section. There are some good climbs here. Additionally this loop twists and turns unlike the other main path which is just a straight road.
We took a jogging stroller and covered the entire trail with no issue. That said there are some sections that were muddy and the bridge areas were uneven. I imagine after rain it may be worse. Walking and mountain bikes should be great here. You may want wear shoes that could get muddy and mosquito spray.
Also plan on your own water and no restrooms.
This path is fantastic and fun. We can't wait to come back.

This is a fun place to take families of all ages! The laser tag graphics are awesome. There are several arcade games including bumper pool and ski ball. When you get hungry or thirsty from all the fun you are having they have a snack bar to visit. The snack bar has Philly cheese steaks, hot dogs, and nachos just to name a few.
