Heath Robinson Museum

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am-4pm this stylish purpose-built museum dedicated to the life and work of William Heath Robinson has become a focal point in Pinner's beautiful Memorial Park. Heath Robinson (1872-1944) was a renowned landscape artist, cartoonist, illustrator and social historian. Much loved as the "Gadget King" for his pictures of complex contraptions designed to achieve the simplest of outcomes, his work retains huge resonance with our modern world. With a rolling programme of themed Special Exhibitions complementing the main Heath Robinson Gallery, this beautifully-curated small museum is a must-see for all ages. A short walk from Pinner Tube (Met Line) with ample parking, make it a day out: enjoy the park with its tree-lined walkways, secure well-equipped children's play area, have a coffee overlooking the lake and visit shops, cafes and restaurants in Pinner's village and historic High Street . Changing temporary exhibitions run for three months.

This stables is tucked away out of sight and I only discovered it when a friend reccomend Ed it to me! I have taken my children here a few times now as a treat and they have loved it every time, even when its been raining ! (It’s all done outdoors but they go ahead in all weather). My girls always get put on wonderfully well behaved ponies and get led around the woods for a little pony ride. On the longer rides they even got to go for a short trot which they loved! The volunteers who lead them are always pleasant and chatty and you can tell they have a passion for horse riding. I would probably reccomend booking a few days ahead as they can get booked up and there are not always spaces available if you want to book at short notice. All in all it’s a lovely experience for children and I imagine would be quite nice for beginner adults as they have larger horses too, maybe I will join in next time ????

I have been visiting the arts centre for coming up to 18 years; for various courses, workshops, events and training. My family have enjoyed more shows than I could count and I have been able to laugh out loud at some of the best comedians on record! Such a great community hub that so many can have a great experience with; be it a Motown night of great hits or a relaxing evening of mindfulness. Great public transport links and a little car park out back.

First, there's the history and then there's the friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, and a good selection of beer. The food selection is limited to pizza and flatbread sandwiches, but there's a decent variety and everything we tried was tasty.
