...not high enough for Surfing though.
Beach is cleaner than many in Thailand but could be cleaner as well.
Very scenic for photo hunters „sunrising“.
The whole strip of resorts, shops and restaurants is a bit aged and seems to aim for Thai and Malaysian visitors although long long term foreigners where spotted.
Infrastructure in general is a bit poor.

Koh Ngam Yai and Koh Ngam Noi

Reviewed By jahoonsiri - Bangkok, Thailand

Beautiful Islands about an hour from Chumphon. Entirely rock with no beach.
You'll most likely be there for scuba diving or snorkelling. The scuba diving is decent, corals were plain but there was a shipwreck to explore, an abundance of fish, and visibility was good on the day I went.
Ngam Yai is epic, like a scene from Game of Thrones. Ngam Noi itself it quite nice. Perfect scenery to relax between dives.

New Nordic Coral Beach

A mix of both privately owned houses and apartments set on one of Thailand's most idyllic Beaches. A place far removed from the mass tourism of Bangkok and Phuket. Blending in beautifully with the natural surroundings, the development will consist of 3 three story apartment buildings along with 30 bespoke detached homes. With a firm commitment in keeping the project green, vast areas of the landscape will remain untouched. Therefore both residents and visitors alike can enjoy both the large expansion of vegetation and stunning white sandy beach, as nature intended. All restaurants, pools, and other facilities will be cleverly integrated into the existing environment, thus producing one of the most stylish and desirable complexes in the whole of Thailand.

A quiet, small, clean beach with stunning scenery, the only complaint I had was the water has lots of small plant matter floating about which ruined my swimming, water visibility was about 1 metre. There are no restaurants, but there is a small resort. Located...MoreThe plants and visibility is a seasonal thing. Sometimes also after heavy rain some plants will float up from the sea ground. Other times it is some of the clearest water you can find in Thailand.

we too k the ferry from Koh Tao to Koh Phanang, tickets booked in advance, so boarded before the rush.
Catamaran was full with a real mixture of humanity, backpackers , locals and Tourists.
Seat comfy, ride was a bit rough, and a few people were seasick , its best to take something before you go, if you think you will be affected.
We were both fine.
Arrived on time cases unloaded and on our way in 30 mins
