What an amazing opportunity... to hike to the rim of the most famous volcano in history! The views are spectacular as we hiked above the cloud line to see that the active volcano is still spewing steam from its crater... we learned that the most recent eruption was in 1944! We coupled this hike with a visit to Pompeii and our history appetite was sated! A fantastic trip. Entrance to the Vesuvius trail was 12 euro and well worth it. Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and be ready to put some effort in... it is not an "easy" hike, but it is well-worth the effort.

This church is situated in the main Piazza in Naples, Piazza Plebiscito. It is free to visit and a very popular church in Naples. It is in a lovely setting and the interior does. not disappoint. It has a lovely dome and mosaics inside
