Orizaba (Spanish  [ori'saba] (help·info)) is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located 20 km west of its sister city Córdoba, and is adjacent to Río Blanco and Ixtaczoquitlán, on Federal Highways 180 and 190. The city had a 2005 census population of 117,273 and is almost coextensive with its small municipality, with only a few small areas outside the city. The municipality's population was 117,289 and it has an area of 27.97 km² (10.799 sq mi).

Teleferico de Orizaba

Orizaba’s Cable Car, with its 917 meters of length, is the third longest in Mexico. It connects Historic Downtown with the top of the Cerro del Borrego. Live an adventure to 320 meters of height that you will never forget!

Visit the "TELESFERICO DE ORIZABA", was a great experience. We visited the atraction with a group of friends that participated as a group during the Orizaba Folk Festival 2017. You must see a beautiful view of the city going up and down. At the top there are a great park to walk around at the top, you can also see the top of the "Volcano Pico de Orizaba" and also there are a Zip Line. The cost is not expensive. I recommended this trip at Orizaba.

The palace is complety made from iron. It was designed by Eifel, know from the Eifel tower in Paris. First is was erected in Belgium and later transported by ship from Europe to Mexico. There is a nice cafetaria/bar inside with a good Terrace. Inside ther are a few small musea : about beer and abot football. The tourist office is also there

Ecoparque Rio

Wear comfy shoes and walk down its Bridges and the riverbank of the Orizaba River where you will appreciate the combination of a historic colonial city with an extraordinary environmental setting. You will find an Animal Sanctuary, which is one of a kind in the State of Veracruz. This Animal Sanctuary has allowed the captive breeding of endangered species such as the jaguar. Other animal species you will be able to see here are: tigers, dromedaries, crocodiles, black bears, spider monkeys and many more!

walked along the river through crossed many rope Bridges, the animal cages are lined along the river . Excellent up keep , saw a lama for the first time.Nice to walk on the river and also see the animals.

Poliforum Mier y Pesado

It was declared as a “National Artistic Monument” on February 2014. This building is of great architectural beauty and is part of the Mier y Pesado Foundation, also known as “The Castle of Orizaba”. It has museums, a restaurant zone, big Gardens with figure-shaped trees decorating them and a pond. This is a nice place to visit at Orizaba. We went as part of a folkloric group from Puerto Rico during the Orizaba Folk Festival 2017. There are a big area with a nice fountaing at the front of the building. Kida can enjoy the place to run and play. There are a couple of stores and a nice restaurant. Is a beautiful place.

Alameda Francisco Gabilondo Soler Cri Cri

This is the main park o the city, which still preserves the tradition of a colonial city that gives Orizaba the name of a Magic Town. While you are here come to work out, ride a bike, walk its Gardens and take a minute to relax under one of its hundreds of leafy trees.

One of the dearest and most prolific Orizaban composers for children, this statue is set to remaind all of us the marvelous times we can spend listening to his music, either children or adults! He was originally born in the city, but he was not able to get fame and success until he moved to Mexico City.There, he devoted himself to continue writing songs and stories for children, which allowed him to stay forever in our hearts. Located at the Alameda park, children and adults meet CriCri (his nickname) everyday and remainds us of how beautiful life can be.

Se encuentra al final del recorrido del Teleférico, cuenta con miradores en donde su pueden observar la ciudad de Orizaba y Rio Blanco, cuenta con dos pequeños museos, uno de historia y otro de cartografia. El cerro del Borrego tiene un pasado historico, se puede realizar senderismo. Recomendable llevar ropa abrigadora y calzado comodo para realizar senderismo

Expo Parque de los Dinosaurios

Take a trip to the Jurassic era and be amazed by the species of dinosaurs you will find here! This park also has a dinner area and swinging benches so you can sit down and take a rest while you are here.

La entrada es libre, te recomiendo protector solar o llevar sombrilla y los niños con ropa cómoda y gorras, pues no hay árboles, por si te toca un día soleado ☀️ o lluvioso, son dinosaurios muy bien representados a los niños les encantó

EL lugar esta muy bonito, y se siente una vibra especial, la gente dice que al pasar las almas de los monjes que estuvieron ahí te pueden llegar a tocar, y como gran parte del recorrido se hace a oscuras, si puede llegar a darte miedo o sentir algo especial, grandes historias nos fueron contadas, algunas tiernas otras medias tétricas, pero vale la pena ir a visitarlo y si es cayendo la noche mejor. Es uno de los únicos lugares en los que nos cobraron la entrada, fueron $50.00 Esta ubicado casi a 200 mtrs. del parque donde abordas el teleférico. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Museo de la Cerveza

Showing the history and evolution of Orizaba’s emblematic Cuauhtémoc – Moctezuma Heineken Brewery. It exhibits a collection of bottles and labels used through the years, the characteristics of the beers produced currently and the brewing process.

A fun little museum that will take you about 10 minutes to see. Fun photos and old beer bottles. There's one funny advertisement of a baby going on how his mother drinking beer made him strong and healthy.
