Ngaparou (or N'gaparu) is a coastal town with commune status in western Senegal (about 75 km south of Dakar), located in M'Bour Department and Thiès Region on the Petite Côte, near Saly. It is adjacent to the town of Somone and it shares a similar tourist industry, but its main income is from fishing.

It may not sound like everyone's typical fun outing, and I'm not particularly interested in birds either, but I really enjoyed this attraction.
The bird park is situated on the main tarmac road between Ngaparou and Nguekokh about 3 kms from Ngaparou.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable about their exotic birds which come from all corners of the globe. It is, I understand, one of the largest private collections of exotic birds and brightly-plumed parrots.
A project of a second enormous high avery, with lush tropical trees and plants, is under construction adjacent to the first and, once this is operational, many of the birds will be able to be in virtual liberty within the giant high avery and fly from tree to tree to plant as they would in their own natural habitat.
A sizeable restaurant is under construction in the middle of the new avery.
There are also turtles, tortoises, monkeys and crocodiles to see there.
Well worth a visit - and reckon on spending an hour to an hour and a half going round.

Ici , pas de piege a touristes, ils ne nous arrete pas dans des pseudos attraction touristique . Ceque l'on decouvre cest proche des gens
On conseille a 100% , ils sont tres reactifs , les tarifs sont tres compétitifs

For kids and adults. I highly recommend the Zipline Baobab experience. It's really fun, ok a bit scarring, but fun.
You will enjoy for sure and the kids will ask for it again and again!

We left the Gambia via the ferry from Banjul to Barra on the other side of the river Gambia then over the border to Senegal. We drove to the animal park. We had to put a lot of insect repellent on as the park has some nasty mossies. It was nice to see animals in a natural environment with no preditors. It took ages to find the giraffes. Coming back to the Gambia on a smaller ferry really showed us the real Gambiam people. It was a good day out.

Delta a vraiment été a notre écoute et d'une très grande flexibilité. C'est une personne de confiance, extrêmement gentille et qui prends vraiment soin de ses clients.
Delta s'est occupé de tout et le petit restaurant du midi était excellent !
Le tarif pour cette journée était moins cher que les agences proposés par les hôtels de Saly et d'une meilleure qualité !

Youssou is een zeer sympathieke, intelligente gids. Hij kent de streek zeer goed! Langs alternatieve routes, en stoppend bij de lokale bevolking, toonde hij me de ganse streek. Hij houdt rekening met wat je persoonlijk wil bezichtigen, waar je wenst te logeren, wat of waar je graag eet. Ik reisde alleen en ben enorm tevreden dat ik koos voor Youssou Badji als gids.
