The golf course now has The Grill Restaurant upstairs and open to the public so we thought we would try it for lunch. Would not go again. The menu seemed interesting with some good selections for sandwiches and wraps and prices were in line with the area, $6-$14 range. My haddock sandwich was a generous portion of fish on a hamburger roll and nothing else. Lettuce and tomato slice on the side. Impossible to eat, messy and soaked, tasteless roll. Lemonade was water with maybe a squeeze of lemon in it. Wait staff unaffected by any of it. My friend had ordinary wrap with Thai sauce, he said it was good and tangy. Probably this is just a place for golfers to catch a bite. Not worth the stop, disappointing.

You really need to have a private tour to appreciate the intense battles that took place on these hallowed grounds. Howard Wallace was our guide and he was wonderful. He gave so much detail about the sections of the battlefield that we visited. We never would have known some of the stories had we toured on our own.
We plan to return for another visit and another guided tour.

We have been a few times now and each spot is unique. We have enjoyed each spot we stayed at equally. Each has it's pluses and minuses. Spots are good sized and spaced nicely for privacy. Highly recommend tent camping here. Great hiking and fishing. Also I hear there is a pool!

Our "German Village" consists of 3 building with nothing but incredible Christmas items and gifts from Germany. You name it and we have it! Open 7 days a week. We are also open 24/7 online at TheChristmasHaus.com. We just opened a second store in Gettysburg at 13 Baltimore Street, so visit us there as well.

When passing through this part of Pennsylvania, make sure you stop here!! There are so many WONDERFUL authentic German creations to behold. The selection is fantastic. Better than going to Germany....and cheaper than making the trip there. A very, very wide range of great products. I love them all. The staff are friendly and helpful. If Roger, the owner, happens to be there when you are visiting, make sure you talk to him. He is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly as well. I LOVE this place!!

You really appreciate the care and maintenance that goes into this special place.
It has monuments that memorialise sacrifices made by soldiers from the North & the South- it doesn’t matter what rank they were.
Our tour guide asked us to be respectful of the monuments & the location - which we understood & respected.
Sadly there were families with kids running around, sitting on rock monuments, taking photos, & talking loudly (yelling and playing).
The information signs were very helpful. Thank you to everyone involved in looking after this site, it’s obviously a labour of love.

Ever since on-line selling began, it's gotten harder and harder to find antique stores or co-ops with quality merchandise. Golden Lane never fails to impress! In my group of four, three of us came away with substantial purchases. The large facility is on three floors and has the usual mix of cases and booths. You won't want to miss this as you go antique in the area!

I was excited to go based on the other reviews and the website information, little did I know how exciting the night would be:} There was so much activity between the many many orbs that I witnessed, the talking of the Ghost Box, the Clairvoiant correctly naming 2 people that passed, along with a third one still living and the very interesting slide show and stories that Barry shared with me, that had that been all there was, it would have been enough but actually being touched by someone unseen after asking was enough to make me a believer in all things Paranormal:) If you want to witness the real deal, then go to the Ghosts of Golden Lane!!

I have been to a lot of antiques "malls" of all sorts, and most have something in common: an inventory that includes a few very good pieces and a lot of old "junque" and material from the relatively recent past. This place is in a nondescript building not far from the center of Abbottsville. But step inside and you will find a beautifully-finished interior with individual "shops" and handsome cases. There is everything you could want here if you love early and primitive furnishings for your house. You'll find redware, stoneware, quilts, hooked rugs, kitchen implements, folk art, furniture, baskets, woodenware -- well, you get the picture. The staff was extremely jovial and welcoming. We lingered as long as we could and left reluctantly, but we plan to return and take a second look.

Who knew history could be so interesting and entertaining? Our guide, Miss Pat, not only led us through the streets of Gettysberg, but led us back in time to relive some of the more personal moments of the Gettysberg townsfolk during the days of the civil war battle that took place there. Each building has a story and each resident a tale to be told, and Pat has a talent for telling these tales in animated and sometimes humorous ways. She held the attention of my children (age 9) and inspired their curiosity and encouraged them to ask questions throughout the tour. By the end of the tour, we all had a better understanding of the experiences of the people of Gettysberg during the battle. If you are planning a visit to Gettysberg, I highly recommend taking a walk back in time with American Stories.

Every booth has samples of most items they sale for the customer to try. Most of the booths are local people trying to make a living. If I lived in the area I would visit this market frequently and support the local economy.
