Milatos Cave

Reviewed By Bas B - Haarlem, The Netherlands

Free entrance, free parking, but no facilities on site. It is about a 10-15 min climb to the cave (pebble path). Inside the cave a flashlight is recommended.
Beautiful views (you also see kri-kri mountain goats if you are lucky) and a beautiful cave with a hidden chapel inside.

Sissi Mini Golf

We offer the largest mini golf course on Crete, a play area for kids, pool tables, a wide selection of refreshing drinks and snacks at our bar, and last but not least a sitting area by the sea, which makes a perfect place to watch the magnificent sunset.

We enjoy a carafe of wine in the evening on the seafront area as it's a spectacularly peaceful environment to watch the sun go down and listen to the waves lapping the shore.
The title is from hearing about how seriously some holidaymakers take it.
It's meant to be an enjoyable way of getting out of the sun for an hour or so.
Whilst spending time with the lovely Tina one afternoon we heard customers complaining about children spoiling their enjoyment and how they were sure other adults were cheating. FFS it's mini golf not The Open Championship!
Go and enjoy yourselves and try not to take it too seriously!!

A delightful stop whilst going to Vrahasi on the Happy Train.
The monastery is both beautiful and tranquil. The exhibits in the small museum are exquisite. Excellent photo opportunities of the buildings themselves and looking down the gorge to the sea.
Leave a few euros whilst you're there to assist in the upkeep!

House of Vrahassi Folk Exhibition

Reviewed By Cranno - Ayrshire

I really cannot add much more to the original review except that it really is a fascinating house filled with fascinating memories of Katerina and Maria's family. Totally stepping back in time and so beautifully preserved. No charge or donations required yet they still provide water and sweets. I think seeing the looks of appreciation and awe on our faces is payment enough. We visited whilst visiting Vrahassi on the happy train with Tina the lovely guide providing us with great insights and fun quizzes on what some of the old implements were used for. Such a variety of items in the house from original wedding dresses to rouge and powder in pots to showing us where the grapes were trampled and how the coffee was made from grinding the bean to boiling water on the fire.
A lovely morning visit for all ages!

The Jolly Roger

THE place to be to enjoy a cold drink by the sea while listening to great live music, watch sports or have a laugh with our quiz

Reviewed By MadonMilatos - Milatos

As usual, not disappointed. We live in the next Village and love the relaxing atmosphere at the Jolly Roger. The measures are always generous with PROPER brand drinks. Cocktails are lovely and the service second to none. The cleanliness of the bar is spotless and by the way the Slushy Machine that I have had slushies from it never, ever dirty. Why someone could say things against it beyond my ken. Even at the end of the season it is still stunning and the Couple that own it go way above what is expected to make sure their customers are happy. A lovely experience for everyone and the best entertainment in Sissi, varied and special.
