Absolutely stunning buildings greet you as you wander through massive bamboo pathways from room to room. Beautiful arrangements of flowers as well as stunning jewellery. Very knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to attend to you. Of course the jewellery is stunning as well! Love the ethos of all the staff dining together. Just so worth a visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by The Monkey Forest. Having read some less pleasant experiences I went in with caution. Only to find out that you do only have issues if you stop thinking about the monkeys as the wild animals that they are and start tampering with them.
Overall, had a great time! The forest itself was gorgeous and well kept by the staff. Definitely a must see in Ubud!

Unique temple set on a sort of island in the sea which one can access during low tide.. the walk over the rocks covered with sea waves to reach the temple is an unique experience.
The temple allows you to offer your prayers with minimal paraphernalia..

We arrived at Sangeh Monkey Forest at the end of a wonderful cycle ride around the area. The area looked strangely familiar and I realised that we had visited here some 25 years previously!
The monkeys were calm and not at all aggressive and it was a surprisingly nice experience to have one sit on my lap.

The home of 1000 masks and 4000 puppets of different origins that are perfectly kept is astounding and well worth a visit. The Gardens surrounding the Houses are a treat to the eyes.
I urge you to make the detour for a visit when in Bali.

We've had a weird experience in visiting this place since we were left totally alone to visit the royal area. We have been free to enter and to enjoy the garden, the Terrace and the area around the palace without anyone checking where we were or what we were doing. Nobody around, everything open, including a very personal area of the residence that we decided not to enter for personal sense of respect. Very unusual! There are beautiful doors, patios and buildings to enjoy, but everything is left with no maintenance at all, so the the feeling is quite bitter.

You will have full access to the facilities including the kitchen that has all the utensils, also local organic vegetables and rice picked from our farm. We have one King double bedroom with two Queen Size beds that's perfect for a group of 5 or a couple. Also one single room that can fit one or two people. We also have 5 tents fully equipped on Seseh Beach where you can sleep under Bali's night sky and enjoy fishing and BBQ. Pets and children friendly.

Beautiful beach with bad access. Down to the beach, you have to lie down the rocks. The beach is wide with fine sand. There is a sunset on this beach. It's a beautiful experience.
The beach is still being photographed by brides (at sunset there is the most).

It is strategically located beside of major roadway between Denpasar to Singaraja. It is set on the land which is surrounded by the big fish pond and look like a drift on the water

We visited this temple, located in south Bali, with our cruise ship's excursion. This temple had a unique layout with 3 Inner Courts, a perimeter moat, and a Cock Pit. The first 2 Inner Courts have spacious well kept lawns, beds of canna lilies, and a Fountain with 9 water spouts in a small pool. Visitors stay on the main path that leads to the eyecatching red brick entrance gate of the 3rd Inner Court. The gate is encrusted with grey stone carvings. There are 3 sets of steps that lead to 3 plain old doors. Visitors are not allowed through the doors, but visitors can see the inside of this Inner Court by walking all around the surrounding perimeter wall. This wall is about 3 feet high and does not impede viewing the structures inside nor photographing them.
This court is what we came to see as it has many shrines with multitiered roofs from 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 levels and the unusual interior moat along the perimeter wall. This temple area is spacious (about a city block x a city block). It has several smaller buildings besides the many shrines. Perhaps these were for the use of royalty or priests. All of the roofs for the buildings and shrines are thatched and are blackened with age. Some of these had skillfully carved stone work all around their square bases which seemed to have been cleaned as they were free of moss and algae. They were attractive, but some of the large stone statues of gods had not been cleaned and were unattractive. Their features were covered with grasses, moss, and black algae. At one corner, the water in the well became special when it was blessed by a priest. A special tree grew beside it. The moat was narrow, filled with greenish water, surrounded by mowed lawn. There was no activity inside the Inner Court. The best view of the Inner Court from one end to the other end is along the 2nd side - the one opposite the entrance gate. The best view of the shrines is along the 3rd wall as they are all lined up in a row on that side. It took us about 30 minutes to slowly stroll around this Inner Court.
Our guide spent about 15 minutes showing us the Cock Pit located between the 1st and 2nd Inner Courts - by the ticket seller's table. To show the purpose of the building, 2 male mannequins had been placed in the dirt pit holding their roosters. Cantilevered Seating was available all around the pit to watch the cockfight. There was no information board here to explain the purpose of the cock pit - for entertainment? for religious ceremonies? A Balinese woman was quietly creating food offering baskets to be placed in the temple area. Modern clean washrooms were next to the cockpit in and had no attendant. As we left the temple site and headed for our bus, we walked through an ornately stone gate that straddled the road - a reminder that this site was once occupied by royalty. Shops for snacks, souvenirs, and cafes surround this attraction. Visitors should wear appropriate clothing for visiting a temple. Our visit lasted about 1 hour.

Facilities such as the fan needs fixing. It was hard having my session being done in the scorching heat with no ceiling fan working. Also the staff at the spa lacked in their customer service. They wouldn't even great guests walking around the resort while they were standing at the door. However, I did enjoy the healer whom I booked for the deep tissue foot massage and I did enjoy the flower bath. In the nature, enjoyable. Could be much better if not for the first few points.
