Amphibious Diving Center is a Classic. Theofilos, the instructor, goes above and beyond and teaches me things about scuba I didn't even know although I am definitely NOT a rookie when it comes to all things sea. He is professional, thorough, has a killer personality and I trust him, hands down. He emphasizes safety while diving. He is absolutely patient with us and does not push us beyond our capabilities and comfort levels. Each training day, he assesses our competency with a fresh eye and is always ready to give us feedback when we ask how we can improve.
Highly recommended.

When we visited this mall in Maroussi at noon time, we were surprised to see that the mall was very quiet and not so crowded. Anyway, this mall is one of the right addresses in this area for shopping, eating and entertaining. There are a lot of shops, cinemas and a food court with a cosy Italian restaurant as well.

Goulandris Museum of Natural History

All ages can spend a fun afternoon learning about dinosaurs and fossils in this interactive museum.

This was a sad little museum in need of some creativity and a good dusting. Much of the taxidermy in the exhibits has lost its vitality. There is dust build up on the bugs. I read that someone spent a few hours at the museum.. and I wondered what they did? The earth portion needs updating to include the newest features - the solar cars seemed to be outdated models already. Many museums offer at least a couple of languages to the exhibits to attract and create interest for tourists, especially in cities whose economy is tourism based. We were disappointed that this was an activity we hoped to entertain our son who is 8. The people were nice though.

Οι τιμές είναι χαμηλές, μασάζ σώματος από 15€ (Τρίτη και Τετάρτη 10€), αλλά δεν ενθουσιάστηκα!

National Observatory of Athens - Penteli

Reviewed By ThanosFot - Athens, Greece

Once you are in Athens, a visit here could render you night unique. First thing you have to do is to check in the website when your visit could be carried out. Then if weather conditions are good (which is not a rare thing in Athens) you should go there and you will gain an interesting and beautiful evening. Please note that although the staff (e.g. Professors, assistants etc) speaks English, the presentations are in Greek, therefore it is better to go with a Greek friend if you don't speak the language. The entrance fee is only 5 Euros and your visit will be consisted of 3 parts. In the first part you will watch a documentary on universe and astronomy, in the second some Professors will make some presentations about Astronomy and the Observatory and in the third and most "magical" part you will go upstairs in order to look through (all the visitors) the telescope. Depending on season, weather conditions etc you might see the Moon, Jupiter, a star, maybe a comet and many more. If the crowd is not big you will have more time to watch. At the end you can stay outside the building for a while to watch the beautiful view of Athens in the night. Before the presentation you could also have some snack or coffee in the café enjoying the view. In the near by area there also restaurants and cafes and some other attractions such as one of the houses of the Duchess of Placentia. I have been there 3 times so far and definitely I would go again. One time is not enough.

Nice environment and chic furniture do not compensate for bad quality of service and average food and drinks. Much better places around the area that respect the visitor’s tastes and pocket. The so called best pancakes are over topped with a chocolate syrup and the simple omelette is overcooked and overpriced.
