Conondale National Park

Will reuire high clearance 4x4. 3 river crossings to day area. Not so easy when normal cars park in road before crossing leaves very little room to get past. Some drivers dont slow down or move over but it is mostly well attended. The river looked good. Was swimming hole walking tracks picnic areas. Will have to come back to walk to falls. Very surprised at how good it was. Well worth a visit. Caming available need to pre book. First 2 camps i believe are just for tent but there is one for camper trailers further around. Wl come back soon.

Charlie Moreland Camping Area

Such a gorgeous spot - our third visit here. The creek was full and the stream was flowing - crystal clear water - kids had a lovely time swimming but a bit cool for me! This was our first Easter camping trip here and I expected it to be crazy busy, but we were pleasantly surprised - lots of people get it didn’t feel overrun, unlike campgrounds where people are nearly on top of each other. Lots of firepits (BYO wood), two seperate spotless toilet blocks, lovely bush walks nearby, great bike paths, peace and quiet! We will definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kenilworth Dairies

Kenilworth is a small rural township in the beautiful Mary Valley. Part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland its rolling hills and lush green pasture make this ideal dairy country. The Kenilworth Cheese Factory was purchased from the Kraft Corporation in 1990 by a group of former employees who created a factory that specialised in quality hand crafted cheeses. Recently the factory was purchased by the Cochrane family, 6th generation local dairy farmers, who are determined to enhance the tradition of quality dairy production. Utilising the milk from their own herd, creating the Kenilworth Dairies brand and investing heavily in the Kenilworth factory has ensured the tradition of udderly delicious dairy products will continue to flourish in the Mary Valley. There is a lot happening at the factory with renovations and with the possible cheese making work shops (TBA). Open 7 days a week 9am - 4pm for Coffee, Lunch or Snack. Hope to see you at Kenilworth Dairies.

A rather unusual cheese factory in that one choose ones cheeses from a long line of self opening cool storage units. Also, the cheese are rather expensive. I bought about $60 worth of cheeses and they were all excellent and well worth the cost. Particularly delicious is the wax sealed Cheddar but all the softer cheese are also superb. So you will pay a bit more than the local supermarket but worth every cent.

We as a family like to travel to places where the sun is shining, the speed boats are out and people are skiing on the lake and families are kayaking and having a look around the dam at wild life and enjoying the scenery.
