This is a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach, perfect for chilling out especially if you are staying at a hotel on the beach or as a day trip. Beautiful clear water with some waves.

Beach Bar

Reviewed By barney-rabbit - Liverpool, United Kingdom

Had several lunches here during our stay and was never disappointed.
Food was excellent, especially the Greek salads, wine was cheap as was the ice cold beer!!
The bar is right at the waterfront so makes for a beautiful setting with Zante in the distance.
The family work very hard to maintain their high standards.

Lourdas (Lourdata) Beach

Reviewed By Sleepyduck7 - London, United Kingdom

Between ourselves, I thought long and hard about writing this review. I love Kefalonia and I'm particularly fond of Lourdata. Every time I go there it feels like a second home. But, and it is a big but, deep down inside I wanted to keep it a secret. The thing is I struggled to find accommodation this year and part of me (that tiny part that thinks the whole world revolves around me) thought that was because of my glowing reviews from last year. I mean seriously, it felt like the popularity of Kefalonia doubled compared to last year. Anyhow I managed to get a lovely place to stay so let me continue with this review.
I'm a beach person and Lourdas beach is pretty much perfect. Never crowded, even in the peak season, partially organised, always beautiful, the sea is incredibly clear, clean, in a lovely colour and perfect temperature. On super hot days, I used to look for that mountain water cold stream that comes to the sea. I think it is only in two places and it is so incredibly refreshing. ‎On top of that, it seems like only the nicest, kindest and most wonderful people live in Lourdata and I can't think of the safest place to be. I mean where else you can walk past countless parked cars with their windows down and keys in the ignition? Or leave your belongings on the beach while you are off to get some lunch? And did I mention amazing tavernas that line up the beach and none of their proprietors standing outside forcing you to go in? And that you can always find a (free) parking space? And that u can rent jet skis from Escape Boats for 15 quid for 15 mins?
I love this place. Even shingles on the beach don't bother me!

P.s. If u are a smoker, please make sure you put down your cigarette properly and never ever flick it through the car window. I don’t want to nag, I am smoker myself but fires are so easy to start and even though Kefalonia's responsive team are fantastic, it is best to prevent the tragedy that might happen.

We travel to kefalonia allot and travel Ll over the island but OMG -
The price of a small beer is €5 each ..
we had just spent the day at avithos and that's expensive by comparison to lots of places ...
I told him it was over the top and that we won't return - it's a shame as we were about to order food ..
the place itself / beach area etc is amazingly gorgeous but their attitude at the beach bar when I challenged them over the prices was met with ..
"oh well"
"I live on the island and it's not !!!"
Well ... sorry ..
The truth is your more expensive than fiskardo ..
We Won't go there again .. only to the beach

Trapezaki Beach

A nice beach that can be accessed by a walk along a steep road and also on a local bus route that runs from Lourdas. There are two small Beaches with a small cove between the two. There is one taverna called "Denis" that rents sun beds on the beach and also on a raised area above the beach.

Spartia Beach

Reviewed By Peter C - Newark, Delaware

This is one of the most beautiful Beaches in Kefalonia. It is enclosed by a bay so it is very clam (r was today). There are some fish to see in the water. It is just one of the prettiest places we have gone to here. My wife snorkeled out by half an hour near the rocks. There was a bit of current so that did not seem altogether safe to me, but she had no trouble. We could not find the beach shower if there is one.

Dias Beekeeping

Walk Through a Honeybee Hive with a Local Beekeeping Expert. Don a suit and head into an apiary, where you’ll see an open hive and hold a frame of live bees; conclude your visit with honey tastes.

Reviewed By s a - Birmingham, United Kingdom

What can I say, this was truly a lovely experience.
Thanassis and Eleni were just the sweetest and friendliest couple you'll ever meet.
Their passion and respect for their bees shows as they explain the structure and functions of a hive and then the honey extraction process.
The bees are not interested in you (sorry to break it to you!) so the whole time we were there, not a single bee flew on or near us. Even when you're holding the frames.
My wife is terrified of bees and was dreading this experience but within 20 mins, she had a new love for bees.
We ended the trip with drinks, delicious baked treats and even made two wax candles to take home.
We also bought a lot of honey from them but they do no pressure you in any way to buy anything which is probably why we bought so much!
Trust me (a random person on the internet!) and just book it. You will not regret it!
Bees are remarkable, selfless creatures. Without them we're screwed so go learn about them!

Ideal place for good food and an amazing beach. Good shops and cafes to enjoy. Ideal for over 50's but don't go too far out of the resort as it can be very hilly. Excellent boat trips and lovely island to explore.

This is the most perfect way to spend a day. Starting with breakfast on board the boat this day includes bringing the fishing nets in and helping to unload the fish if you like or just take photos if you prefer. Then some swim stops in crystal clear water to deserted Beaches and to cover ourselves with the natural clay. You are made to feel so welcome and the lovely Effi cooks the fish and serves it with a delicious salad, potatoes, bread and wine. There are plenty of drinks in a cool box throughout the day. This is a day everyone, young or old would enjoy it was truly perfect. Many happy memories made here.

Kanali Beach

Reviewed By Allan C - Budapest, Hungary

If you're looking for a nice quiet and secluded beach to escape the crowds, this place is the perfect spot. After driving around the entire island, this was a favourite.
To get to the beach its a short walk down a steep track, but it's well worth it if you're looking for somewhere remote and quiet. Kanali is also nude sunbathing friendly, as there are very few people about.
The water here is great - clear, warm and shallow, and entry into the water is easy, with soft sand and a gentle slope (Unlike many rocky, and pebbly Beaches on Kefalonia).
There are no facilities on the beach, so if you plan to stay longer it might be worth bringing water and food for a picnic.
In summary, highly recommend for those who want a clear water, sandy beach with some privacy.
