One of the youngest wineries in the Finger Lakes Region (circa 1992), the vineyards overlook picturesque Seneca Lake and offers a wide range of estate bottled vinifera wines.
While on a weekend away in the finger lakes my husband and I visited Lamoreaux. We had a great time- Laurie helped us and she was really nice and helpful. She showed us the difference between some of their Rieslings, which was really cool. Sh also didn'tt rush us which was a nice change from a few others we visited over the weekend. Great wine and a great staff- definitely worth a visit!

I have been to the Finger Lakes wine region many times. Mostly in the Summer months but going in the Fall was also great with the beautiful upstate NY foliage.
In the past I wasn’t a big fan of NYS wines. They have come a long way, and some are outstanding. Ice wine from this region is some of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re not familiar with Ice Wine, the grapes are picked very late after having been frozen from the weather. Not artificially. That is how it gets it’s sweetness. It’s like dessert in a glsss! It’s very concentrated with a high alcohol volume. Don’t drink too muc of this! At least that is my understanding from some of the many winery tours I’ve been on.
If you like to partake in the tastings, I would definitely either have a DD or limo (always a blast)! There are so many wineries in the Finger Lakes that you need several visits to try them all. I live less than an hour away from many of the wineries, yet have still never been to all.
It’s a very fun weekend getaway. I highly recommend visiting if you enjoy wine and beautiful scenery.

Enjoy friendly staff, antique decor, and the casual atmosphere of Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards on beautiful Seneca Lake. Visit us and see why the Wine Enthusiast Magazine (May 2008) voted us one of the Top 25 tasting rooms in the United States. Great wines! Great times! Home of the Red Cat.
Wonderful wine tasting and personal service ‼️ went to several wineries on senaca lake and this was our favorite ‼️ great wine with a personal touch. The best wine was bramble berry which they serve with a bit of dark chocolate making the perfect match. Very reasonably priced , highly recommended

Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard Estate grown wines are established from traditions of excellence and have a nationwide reputation for creating exceptionally lush, crisp and well-balanced wines.
This is one of THE best Riesling vineyards in the region and if you're a wine aficionado you must stop in for the Riesling flight, 4 wines, $10, served at once so you can go back-and-forth, "comparing and contrasting. Knowledgeable attendants will describe the differences in viticulture and leave you to decide your preference. Highly recommended.

Eight people arranged this trip, all couples. Having done wine tours before (driven, designated driver, van etc) we decided a boat tour would be idea. First let me say the day was awesome weather wise and that helps. But we could see that the boat was well protected if NOT good weather. It was simply a blast! We visited 3 wineries and had lunch at one. The captain was fun and entertaining with stories and information. The boat tour was not only fun the wineries where a blast and we loved the views, walks to/from AND sometimes van or open "Kubuka" rides(did I spell right?) trips to the wineries from the boat. Over all very highly recommended.....YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Lively Run Goat Dairy is one of the longest operating commercial goat dairies in the country, beginning production in New York State in 1982 and pioneering goat cheese in the American marketplace. The entire Messmer family works to continue the mission of bringing to the Finger Lakes region healthy, sustainable and delicious goat cheese. Come visit the farm, get a tour, see our baby goats in the spring, eat some cheese cake, and most importantly - try our cheese!
Pleasantly surprised by this stop along the wine/beer tasting trail. The cheese samples were not only plentiful but absolutely delish--along with local jams and honey as compliments. Our host was most gracious, professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. The variety of cow's milk and goat's milk cheeses to sample were diverse in taste and texture....so worth it! Great souvenirs to purchase if you are picnicking between wineries as there are cheeses and crackers to choose from. Go here, it is a great time and you might be able to see the baby goats.

The Heron Hill Tasting Room on Seneca Lake opened in 2006. We're conveniently located on Route 14, 19 miles south of Geneva and 16 miles north of Watkins Glen. This facility features a Tasting Room showcasing Heron Hill's award-winning wines and retail space. This location is also pet-friendly -- as long as your dog is friendly and on a leash. An expanded selection of rotating locally-made craft beer, ciders and spirits available for tasting and purchase.
The venue is very pretty and the people are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Heron Hill is known for its Rieslings, and they are among some of the best Rieslings from the Finger Lakes that I've ever tasted.

Visitors to this popular winery in the Finger Lakes area can experience great wine-tasting, fine dining and tasting this establishment's newest addition- micro-brewed beers.
This is our second visit to Wagner, and it was a disappointment. We came on a Saturday (and as I have read thru reviews Saturday's in the fall are their peak times) so with them acknowledging this you would think they would be better staffed. There was one server at each bar that were all absolutely packed. The server only had enough time to pour the sample, yell out over the noise what wine it was and move on to the dozens of other people there. If you know you are busiest on fall Saturday's why not have more staff on. Maybe 3 per bar. I got zero info on the wines.
My husband and our friend tasted the beer. They were told it's busy so leave the bar, again no info on the beer. They were asked to leave their licenses behind for some reason as well....Maybe as assurance the flight board would come back? However because it's so busy when we wanted to get out of there we had to wait around after dropping the board off to get our licenses back.
The whole thing was a disappointment. Our first visit was much nicer. Apparently if you are visiting on a Saturday or Sunday it's recommended you don't come.. or come first thing before it gets busy. For us that wasn't convenient as we stayed in Geneva.
Not worth the trip or the money.

At the recommendation of a tour guide, we went to the Sheldrake Point Winery. Parking is convenient and the tasting room is quite large. The wine consultant was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were generally good. I was surprised by the dry Rose and enjoyed the reserve Meritage.
