Cedars of <a href=Lebanon State Park">

Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located in Wilson County and is part of the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest. The park is named for Eastern Red Cedar trees found throughout the area. The trees reminded early American settlers of the famed Biblical cedar forests that thrived across Mount Lebanon in what is now the Mediterranean area. Cedars of Lebanon became a state park in 1955. Eight miles of hiking trails meander through the cedar forests and glades. There are four trails in the park where you may catch a glimpse of fox, deer, squirrel, rabbits and Turkey throughout the park. Picnicking is another popular activity. All picnic tables are equipped with grills and there are also 11 picnic shelters located throughout the park. Three of the picnic shelters can be reserved for a fee. The 900 acre park has 117 campsites equipped with picnic tables and grills, electric and water hookups.

A wonderful park to escape and relax at. Playground for small children, camping, cabins and picnic areas. A nice way to spend a day with your family. I believe there is also horseback riding in the area as we saw a group of several people...MoreThank you for your review. Come back and see us!

Fiddlers Grove

Reviewed By tenntravelguy - Nashville, TN

Fiddlers Grove is one of the highlights to see each year during the Wilson County Fair. From my understanding you can schedule visits at other times during the year.

This last Christmas when they have the whole fairgrounds decorated in thousands and thousands of lights it is a treat for the family. Then to also see Santa and Ms. Claus during the middle of the drive thru puts a smile on the face of the little ones like my 4 year old. We went twice this year and so much of Fiddlers Grove is lit up with the Christmas lights.

If you visit Fiddlers Grove during the fair or at other times by scheduling a visit you will see the old time ways of I guess the late 1800s by seeing the bank, post office, jail, old time school house, old time church, several log cabins, the mill where during the fair they mill cornmeal and grits and there is so much more to view during the era. Also during the fair at Fiddlers Grove watch a horse churn homemade Ice Cream.

Step forth a few decades later, you see the bakery, radio station of WANT, the hospital, mortuary, old time service station and much, much, more. I wish all young people could see this and appreciate how things were a long time ago.

Rusty Wallace Racing Experience

I purchased a 10-lap package with a Groupon. The price paid was more than fair. I can't really say anything negative about the way they run the program. All the employees were friendly and helpful. The driving experience was amazing. Just sitting in the car waiting to go was great. My spotter was very good. I would advise going earlier in the day, especially in the fall, because the sun was pretty blinding coming off turn 4. Made it a little scary trying to hold my line coming down the front chute with my foot to the floor! The sensations are stunning and you will have a new respect for the pros. A definite bucket list item. BTW - when I arrived the pro was giving a ride-a-long to a wheelchair-bound gentleman. I thought that was cool.

I love to walk at Don Fox Community Park. The track is well-maintained, and the scenery is usually pretty, and the grounds are kept clean and mowed.

I've been going here for years, and I almost always find something to buy. In the past several years, I have noticed that they are losing stores fairly quick, which concerns me. The new stores coming in seem to all be "junk" stores. Everything off-brand. I don't believe they are "outlets", just selling cheap stuff.

The Polo store has also changed, but not for the better. They have made it a clearance store, and any exchanges or refunds have to be done in a different store altogether. They also do not take any coupons. This makes me sad.

However, the marketplace itself is still pretty good, if declining.

The person making this claim must have attempted entry next to Walgreen's. The antique gate there is always locked. You must enter through one of the South Maple entrances. I have photographed all the graves there. It is peaceful and very interesting.

We had so much fun with this! You have 45 minutes to find and figure out all the clues and solve the mystery. But you don’t need to have any specialized skills to solve the clues. The setting, clues, and puzzles were just as challenging and creative as those of the escape rooms in the big cities, but this is so close to home! And the owner/operator was so welcoming and personable. Great choice for a date night, girls night out, family night, etc. Grab a few people and go have a great evening of mystery and laughter!

We had heard so much about the Wilson County Fair from previous guests that we gave it a try. There was so much to do and you got the county fair feeling with the Baby Show and so much more as well as the national fairs in the Midway and throughout the area. Everyone was friendly and the parking was made easy and convenient.
