The dunes are always amazing and breath taking every time I go. Hire a sand board from one of the local shops, climb up and find a smooth dune or a path that a sand board has already run down, stay away from the high traffic areas as the foot prints in the sand will slow your board. If your into motorbikes and quads, you can hire them at the entrance to the dunes, but be careful when u go over the dunes as they sometimes have really steep drop offs. Or people on the other side. Ride up the side of it along the ledge first.

My wife demanded a convenience stop and as luck had it it was at the lookout car park. A really neat little area with level walking tracks on an easy grade to cater for all. You can do a short loop walk thru the bush and enjoy both the wildflowers and the scenic views. Or do the shorter stroll to the lookout. Sadly we were a bit early for the main flowers but right on time for the WC !
